Pro r seat upgrade. 2025 seats in a 2022

I found some take off seats from a 2025 Pro R and made them fit in my 2022.

The 2025 seats have fans on the back and heaters in the base. Easily wired up to a switch panel. The 25 seats have alot more cushion than the 22.

I would have thought they dropped right in but the base is a little wider.

I had to cut the metal cradle part out of the outer rail and it snaps in just like the original seats.

I did upgrade the thin aluminum cross tube inside seat to some 1” stainless steel tubing I had laying around.

I got the passenger seat base modified and works well!! Even used the VHT chassis and roll cage to touch up where I clearanced the stock brackets almost perfect match!!

I just mounted a set of the heated and cooled seats in my 2025 Turbo R. How did you hook the heat and fan up? I am being told switches shouldn't be used as they are ran of a vcm variable control. Thats the whole reason I bought them in hopes to use those functions. Thanks

simple wiring, grab a meter and start probing the seat plug, i have mine set to high fan and high heat.

I know what pin controls the fan and heat. I was wondering what size of relays to run the power through as I didn't know the amp draw? I thought about using potentiometers to be able to control the heat and speed of the fan.

When you make it too complicated it will be unreliable for offroad. Just connect it to a switch pro and turn it off/on.

I added the new seats to my 2020.. Plasma bases and they snap right in. Yes they are more comfortable.. Seems the seat forms to your body better. Or as they say it has padding in all the right places.
