Rear hub upgrade

Have you considered the Gear One Super Greaser set up? That's what is going on my new Funco being built right now. I believe having a zirk fitting to service the CV and bearing will be a game changer.

Yes I have. I wanted to see people’s real world experiences with those.

I've prepped several sets Gear One Super Greaser hubs and they work great. This off season I'm converting my regular Gear One hubs to Super Greasers.
@Air450 has a set on his car.

Yes they work great (as long as you clock the CV's correct) but you still need the grease fittings for the trans side CV's. Just haven't bought a set since my other ones wore out.

Ha! I remember messing yours up the first time I did them. Lesson learned.

Ended up getting a great deal on the Jamar outboard hubs that I couldn’t turn down. Ended up having my buddy make some boxed arms for me. IMG_4524.jpeg

Looks pretty damn beefy! Did you gain some travel? Same shocks?

Good call on the outbards. We ran ProAm and Jamar outboards when I raced Class 1.

Been considering the outboard upgrade myself, but I've been reluctant to part with $20k. I can buy a few 930 300m cv stars a season for many years before that upgrade would be practical. Jeez, at 22 degrees your cvs will live forever .

I was able to get this all done for around 10k. But there were a lot of friends discounts. Down to even the laser guy who cut the metal for the arms.

But the 3.90" bearing and a huge 36" size paddle and how heavy of a car???
I’m like 90% sure these are what’s on my buggy. I don’t remember the bearing size but I’m about 3200 Ibs and have been running 800 hp through them on 36 #1 scoop paddles…they outlived the s4 attached to it. Knocking on wood so far so good (they’ll probably fail now that I said that though)
