Rob is another animal and on his own level... that's not even a fair evaluation. This example is honestly off the table.Well just for the sake of discussion (and where my opinion comes from)...
When Sampler got his, he took me out and we rode around for awhile.
At one point in the ride, he looks at me and says...
"river, this thing Sucks!!!"
I cracked up and said...
Well I'm glad You said that and not me!
We went back to camp, Rick Wade shows up and takes it out for a spin. He came back shortly, right after he rolled it. He felt So fucking bad!!!
But Rob was like...
Don't worry about it. Fuck that thing. And he sold it shortly after that.
The power to weight ratio is all wrong for the sand.
On the hardpack, they really are fun as fuck.![]()
Power to weight ratio is "not optimal" for the BIG DUNES. I'll give you that, to a certain extent as I have not driven anything made after 2012.
But if you enjoy seeing the other 70% of Glamis... anything around and past Wash 25 is small rollers and flat areas that are very similar to Hard Pack that ARE fun as fuck in a SXS. This includes and probably spotlights the Speed UTV's best area in Glamis to run as well; small 5-10' rollers that cross over hard packed areas with no witches eyes or any of that bullshit you need to worry about in the big to medium stuff.
As I said in previous posts about this, I Ied the old Team Dirtbag "Racing" group through the big stuff very easily and then took myself, the Ex and her kid down the washes into the small stuff to run 75 mph where the Sandcars didn't want to play. Versatility was actually unmatched and I still regret selling that thing.
