Naw. There’s nothing behind it I want air hitting, and adding air behind the radiator reduces cooling capacityGonna cut the vents out?

Lol. Didn’t you see my heat shielding? These clogs are coooooooolNaca ducts. Tubes down passed the headers to cool them more. Keep those tootsies cool. Guessing you have the "high" performance jobbies though...

where did you purchase that exhaust wrap material looks good i need some to wrap a water line right above my turbo on my 2013 duramaxView attachment 186842
Final product. There is a VERY noticeable difference in temps of objects near the exhaust where there is wrapping and not. Put your hand on the “frame” next to the wrapped exhaust, cool to the touch. Next to unwrapped exhaust, barely bearable to touch.

So you can not wrap a heater hose with it? You’re saying it will melt my hose ?Amazon.com: 2PCS Exhaust Heat Shield Automotive Kit 16" x 39", Embossed Aluminum Heat Shield with 20PCS Cable Metal Ties for Exhaust Wrap Heat Shield, Car Exhaust Sheet : Automotive

If you wrap anything melty with it, make sure to leave air gap. The shielding itself blocks heat from passing through, but it definitely absorbs it. Anything in direct contact with it will fry.
I would place it between the hose and the source, or wrap the exhaust partially. The heater hose doesn’t need to be wrapped to be protected, just blocked from direct radiated heat.So you can not wrap a heater hose with it? You’re saying it will melt my hose ?

That trail is tough, you like self inflected torture huh?

Still bet it was a fun day wheelin, how was the weather?
Lol, 4WD still worked, amazingly. Those gears have at least one more run in them. LOL!!!
Snowball is the problem. I ditch the 30 for what? Not much out there that’s 60.5” WMS other than a LP Dana 44 from a TJ Rubicon, so I’m swapping both axles to match…Maybe ditch the 30...
Jeep walked the whole trail. No winching, needed a spot a couple of times, but otherwise no problem other than the assploded diff.

Which means tear the whole Jeep down for months to swap, and then the NP231 is the weak link, so I swap that for an Atlas.
It did happen in a freak situation that was avoidable. The selectable will also help longevity, both because it’s a full case locker, but also because I don’t have to stress the fuck out of the R&P both from constantly locked 4WD, but also the rather harsh engagement (occasional BANG!!! loud enough to scare pedestrians) from the lunchbox. This is also the first failure I’ve had with the 30, stock shafts to boot.
If I can get away with just this upgrade, cool. If it fails again, I’ll ditch it for something else. R&P is only $150 and I’ve gotten quite good at gearing. Lol
