Thicker Fox Shims to Increase Damping?

I need to increase the compression on my on my Fox shocks. I've already got a full stack or .015 shims (fox #90). I see .020 shims are available. Would it be better to buy the .020's, or put two of the same diameter shims in there to increase the thickness? I believe I've read that two .010 shims don't equal one .020, is this correct?

That's correct. You can also add a smaller diameter shim to the stack to stiffen it up. Fox has a chart on their website but you have to really want to find it lol.

You're Az now IIRC, Foddrills has them all in stock and Denny is pretty smart with shim stacks.

2x 15's = 21.

You can calculate the effective thickness of 2 or more same diameter shims in a stack by:
Sqrt(shim1^2 + Shim2^2)
so, sqrt(15^2 + 15^2) or sqrt(450) = 21

If you know how to valve them which is easy BTW then experiment and give it a try there is plenty of room to add shims.I do my own and head to foddril to recharge.Im only ten min from there so easy to get done.
