This is more of a WHY THE EFF question....
When going to the gas station WHY THE EFF do people stop at the first pump they come to rather than pull all the way forward, so you get first in and first out (think Pole Position)
Instead, we have some total JackNuts that stop at the first pump they come to thus screwing anyone from just pulling in behind to fill up!
Well, I am that guy that will pull around you then back my truck right up to your front bumper, maybe a little skewed so you now have to back out and turn around to get out!!!!

What you got???
 
Feel the same. Fucking pisses me off.
My local station has three pumps per island. The diesel is its own and is the center pump at each island. If anyone pulls up to the center pump, it basically blocks all three pumps at that island.
I will pull all the way to the front pump allowing the one behind the diesel pump to be accessed. Use the long Diesel pump hose from the center pump and reach to my truck.

Most everyone else has no courtesy or gas station educate.

I get more mad about all the gas cars taking the diesel pumps when there are plenty of gas pumps open. I always pull up and sit right on their butts.

I pulled in right behind a lady who did that, when I asked her to please pull up so I could use the green handle she said just drive around and use that pump. She even had the verve to give me the WTF look when I told her I would if there was a green handle.
 
How do you know that the person at that "first pump" didn't start getting gas when there was someone already at the pump in front of them?

Because I saw them get out and walk up to the pump when I pulled up and there was no one in front of them!

Almost as bad as the Prius at the diesel pump.
 
I get most my diesel at an SC Fuels in Montclair/Ontario because of the discount. Unfortunately, a lot of commercial businesses, including school buses, use it. While at the pumps, they feel they can take their 15-minute break, clean out their bus from the kids that day, have lunch, etc... All while I'm sitting behind them waiting to get fuel. I usually just enter the exit (it's supposed to be one way) and pull the hose across. The gas and diesel are completely separate pumps. Infuriates me.

I shut their pump off so when they finaly come out hardly any gas was pumped - they come out after an long shopping spree and wala - still gotta wait
