Kawasaki released the Teryx 4 H2 today! 250HP

Chupacabra ever have the MAV R? Is that not a contender for you?
Mav R has not been a contender. The 4 seater is too long. Thats also why the Pro R is not really a contender. I like the Speed for many reasons, but the 120wb was one of them. The Pro S is 125 and the Kawi is 126.

I’d still consider a Speed if a few things were fixed on the Speed. If the business structure was better/honest and if the pricing was right with the updated fixes. I’d be in a Speed. I still know it’s the best design, and I still believe in the concept.

Trust me going and seeing my Speed in Anaheim, and walking away was not easy. The car looked bad ass! It also caused a temporary riff with me & RG, but I think we are good.

So when the Kawi came out it peaked my interest, but honestly all new performances UTV’s peak my interest as I just enjoy diving in and digging up the specs & tech.

Thanks for the possible answer. I hope Super ATV will be building axles for the H2, so the expensive OEM is not the only option for axles. And I really hope Kawi did not do two different lengths, making them position specific. That would be just stupid!

I’d assume since every other brand does standard right hand threads for the stub axle nut that you could too and it would be fine, especially if it’s got a cotter key or some sort of locking device.
I sure hope it is just a thread issue and not different lengths. Who wants to have to carry two rear axles on a long multiday Baja or desert adventure.
We will definitely have Rhino 2.0 axles for it. Not sure on the ETA, but someone mentioned we "should" have inventory on the website in early spring. I'm going to push Assault Ind. for a set of their race series axles too.

Different lengths in the rear would be absurd........but I've seen weirder things.
Kawie likes to do the reverse thread castle nut on other models too. Something about how the reverse thread on whatever side keeps even torque on the nuts so they can't loosen up. It sounds like overkill to me, but...they don't pay me to be an engineer here. :ROFLMAO:

The only other possible reason for two different axles in the rear would be an internal trans difference that would require different inner CV splines. But...you usually only see this in models with turf mode.

Here is the latest review from. Chupacabra on the H2.

I just watched i and found it to not be that in depth info provided. He went on about the wheelbase and how it reacts differently than other cars. I dont think he has enough seat time to really have anything to review.

I think Nick was trying to get some feedback out before his big 400 mile trip with the H2. He said he only had 100 miles on it. I’m sure his thoughts or depth into how it feels & performs will be better.

Not allot of 16 inch tire options, but Rocky Mountain ATV is building the Tusk Tarrabite tire in a 16x35. The Tarrabite’s been around for a long time with good results. $260 ea, with free shipping and in stock.

Here is a H2 with the 35 inch Tarrabite on stock wheels. The guy is getting ready to do a Baja ride trip.

That tends to be the problem with all these podcasts anymore. They take 2 minutes of info and stretch it into 10-30 minutes..

Agree, they are trying to be the first to review but don't have any substance. I do love Chupacabra's reviews but this one fell short of any meaningful info.

impressive
I’ll like to see when RPM & EVO and others build an exhaust for the H2 to see what HP numbers they get. That will corroborate or question the Gibson numbers shown, as the others should see similar gains. Both RPM & EVO have said with an exhaust, clutch adjustment and ECU tune this car should be 300hp on 91 pump gas.

Personally for the type of driving I do, 250 is more than enough hp and I’d only consider making adjustments if needed for 35 inch tires.

I think their numbers are going to be close to Gibson. The engine is 7:1 compression. 300hp on pump gas is possible.

So Nick @ Chupacabra is doing a two day, 400 mile desert ride in the H2. Today is day 1 and he seems very impressed with the overall performance of the H2. He said in the full power mode he’s is getting about 10 mpg. I was told by a Kawi rep that he prefers the 80% power mode in open desert and he said the fuel mileage would be better too.

Here is Chupa’s IG stories feed about today’s ride so far.
