Question is.... When this happened "The laptop seemed to do a factory reset." did it FORMAT the drive or just rewrite the operating system Windows?

If it was a format reset you are likely F'd, if it rewrote the the OS there's a chance your personal files are hidden in the user profiles.

Since I've had so much luck here in the past, posting up our daily driver. Time for a larger rig with automatic, rowing gears is getting old.... HA HA

2014 Impreza WRX Limited 100% Stock no mods, tuners, etc...
Just smoged and replaced/serviced @100k Radiator, Timing Belt, Pullys, Oil Pump, Water Pump (basically everything inside the timing cover)

Gets 16-26 mpg based on driving like a scared parole or all up in the boost! Still daily driven so miles will continue to rise.

We got it as a lease return. The front bumper was fixed/painted before we got it and is the only issue with the car. It's loose, lost the inner fender liner. I've replaced it once but needs a good repair.

That's why I got what I did. I wanted both a standard style just put in D thru the gates (3 for my TH400) and go trans does what it should shifts normal based on load.

but...... with the +/- bump action of a ratchet for when ya want to hold and bump shift 1-2-3

I've had good and bad employers in regards to pay, as well with trade prevailing wage rules pay was always fluctuating.

Good employers
Started out at a given rate, excelled and was promoted or added work loads with the promotion/work load a pay raise was given.

Bad employers
Started out at a given rate 4-6yrs later no addition to salary no matter how much you excelled or took on extra work.

For the prevailing wages they are set negotiated rates with raises built in at a given date typically 6-months.
With us being non-union but working prevailing wage jobs and in many different counties there is a $15hr swing from one job to the next. The crews never know what to expect except for the minimum agreed rate based on our main county's rate.

Every time I've left a company it was for a bad work environment and not pay. I've taken pay raises and cuts when switching jobs. Not once has an employer ever asked what it would take to keep me, and only one wanted to know why after 8yrs I was moving on. Told them straight up that the owner was the problem by not keeping promises and taking on more work then could be completed without hiring help.

Current job 1yr in and the owner has met every promise plus provided bonuses. No actual $ raise, but now there are talks to becoming a corporate board member. There are many things listed above that have great value beyond the hourly pay scale.

When I've talked to builders, they typically stay really close to the stock stall range in these builds. Unless your cam or other intended use goes off the charts keep it in stock ranges.
Personally I wouldn't go much past 2800 stall on a street ride.
