Question for everyone with California Fair Plan, Who are you using for your wrap around Policy?

i was just notified by my Agent that my Farmers wrap around policy will TRIPLE on renewal next month, from $700 to $2200. The CFP policy only went up $200 

I do want a reputable company!! sister gave me a contact of Pacific Specialty, and when i googled them, they didnt look so hot!!  I understand getting it cheap, but god forbid you have a claim, youd like to get taken care of!

The Good:

1) one owner

2) non smoker

3) AC works incredible!!

4) AUTO

5) Roll up windows... he asked what they were when we bought, never seen roll up windows in his life!! LOL

6) always maintained, oil, etc.. all original motor trans etc... never an issue!

7) 38+ MPG

The Bad:

1) Paint is faded, no shine at all! its all original, but dull.

For one, electric doesn't work for me. Driving long distances and towing will not be done by an electric vehicle.

2) they are taking away our choice. If you want electric...go for it! I don't like it. I could buy into the hybrid especially for a commuter car.

3) if everyone went electric, we can't sustain it...the grid would implode.

but i highly doubt its Sleepys plan to have gas at $7.00 a gallon or anywhere near that!

cheff, i feel ya!!  been building a cabin in big bear since August 1st. Contractor is great, unlike you, i have people their every day, but wife and i are ready to get in!!  They say the last 10% takes 40% of the time! Good luck my brotha...keep the faith!

We are not building with an eye on resale... after owning a small place up there for 7 years, we looked and looked, couldnt find the perfect place!! so found the lot at a reasonable price, before things went crazy!! 

Also youd be surprised what a cabin like this resells for Currently!! (i use the term currently, as all prices are ridiculous and bound to correct). Never the less, not building in hopes of resale... hoping to pass down to kids when the time comes.

im currently building a cabin in big bear.... 2000 sq. ft. plus garage. Its costing about $400 per sq. ft.

Not including land, and SOLAR which is now mandatory, or any permits and retaining walls..

yep... thats what my nephew did a year in a half ago.. when everyone said this is the TOP!!  so hes been renting for 1 1/2 years and prices have escalated 30%-50%... with no signs of stopping! He couldnt afford his old house now if he wanted it back!!

If inflation continues.... selling and waiting it out is NOT the answer.

Hey guys.. tried searching, but may have been lost in the crash!

I know we have some guys here that do home solar.... Im building a cabin in big bear, and was told the whole way i would NOT need solar. Until last saturday! contractor said its now mandatory!, he gave me quote on a BASIC system (subs out to solar company) that he said would satisfy City's requirement. 

Would rather give the business to someone on this site... It is a BASIC 2.8KW system that i was quoted.. no battery storage etc.

quote says 8 panels SILFAB 350 watt panels

                 8 Enpahse IQ + 1- Envoy

                 says, system capable of producing 3,912 kilowatt hours per year peak performance.

any help would be appreciated! Again, i dont even want it! just will do the basic to satisfy city to get my Final build approval.

many moons ago.. headed out to mother G, my family in our warrior, bro in law in his, and a buddy who was a newby with his family in a rented trailer. 2nd day in camp the newby said one of his kids (2 massive boys) took a dump and some how the water stayed on and filled his black water tank. So off we went to town to dump it, my bro in law, the friend and me, we get to the dump site, and bro-in law says i got this!! we all jump out of truck to lend moral support... as he unscrewed the cap to hook the hose on.. someone had the valve already opened on black tank!!  chit spraying everywhere, Corn kernels, TP!! all over my brother in law!! to this day we still call him Shitta man!!  had to strip down threw his close in trash and grabbed some clothes from buddys trailer. God it was the best!!

agree... the way it ended was not right....  But i also feel earlier in race when Mad Max dove inside of hamilton, clearly was in front of Hamilton into corner, and yes pushed Hamilton wide and off track (but it was his corner to do that, it was the racing line).... and Hamilton cut the corner and remained in P-1 never relinquishing the place, which i believe he should have.

So i guess in the end... all worked out as it should have.
