  1. First time I get to add one to this thread! Saw this on the 70 heading east outside Denver going up the last hill before golden. I took the pics and got away from it before the long downhill. I'm a little impressed with how well the new roof was installed!

  2. I've bought a good bit of stuff off there, it's sort of like harbor freight where there are some great deals on decent stuff but you have to be logical and keep your expectations realistic. A coworker that got me hooked on temu got in to gardening and hydro gardens, he has bought several things off there and has generally had great luck with their stuff. DEFINITELY turn off notifications as they will drive you insane, but otherwise I'd recommend it for a cheaper Amazon alternative. I've actually found the same things on Amazon several times, same pics and descriptions and all, and used the Amazon reviews to decide whether to buy.

  3. I'm in Boulder Co (not city of Boulder!) and with the amount of roof tents and "expo rigs" running around it is probably a smart move coming to CO, especially in that area between the mtns and Moab. They may have done better just east of I25 in weld county like earthroamer did, but GJ will get you away from that craziness on the highway. Ultimately, I don't get into the whole "camping/outdoorsy/expo" look, so it doesn't affect me at all, haha

  4. Been thinking the same but here in CO (boulder county). Try looking in to south dakota, a friend registered his MG there so he didn't have to jump through hoops to smog it here, and I registered a dirt bike there through the mail/phone. We both agreed it was cheap/easy, so when I am forced to give up my SC reg I'm probably going that route.

  5. I've bought a good bit off there, including new vents for the toy hauler ($13each). It all come relatively quickly and you can usually find the same item on Amazon and read the reviews to see how it actually is. I would say the biggest winner for me is the 8 petal LED lights that screw in to a bulb socket, I have 4 in my garage and it's almost too bright, it's like a car showroom in there and they were only $10.97 when you catch them on sale. I was skeptical so I let a coworker try it a few times first, I'm pretty happy with temu overall. Just my opinion.

  6. Ended up ordering a Santa Cruz complete cruiser board. Didn't want to spend that much but figured that by the time I ordered a cheaper setup and upgraded the bearings/bushings/maybe wheels I'd be close to the same price so might as well get something decent. I'm oddly excited to try, like jareddustin, I've never been able to skateboard at all, like fall as soon as I step on kind of bad, so i guess well see how it goes next week! Thank you all again for the motivation!

  7. Thanks for the encouragement and motivation guys, I think I might run by the skate shop or try to order a complete today. Hopefully it goes well, and if not, then I scratched an itch and can move on, haha.

  8. Age is just a number, you're only as old as you feel! With that said, some days I'm 18, some days I'm 78. My joints are beat from years of moto/snowboarding/abusive activities, but I try to stay active and actually feel better after riding or hiking or snowboarding (although a little sore) than just going to work or trying to rest.

  9. Thanks for the advice and laughs guys! I'll watch that video after I get off work, I think I'm old enough to be smart about things (and have insurance) and young enough to still act kind of dumb. I'm arguing with myself whether to get a cheap board because I might not enjoy it or a good board since it might be a better experience and possibly enjoy it more.

  10. I've recently gotten a wild hair to try skateboarding, no idea why, but I can't seem to shake it. I can snowboard pretty well, and wakeboard when I get the chance but have never been successful at attempting to skateboard. Do any of you skateboard or have experience with it? I think through research I should start on a larger cruiser as I'm not really looking for tricks, just riding around, maybe some ollies and bowl riding, but am open to suggestions. Thanks ahead of time, the recent motorcycle post made me decide to ask here.

  11. The roof was always the biggest point for me. A small roof leak can destroy a camper before you even realize it's there and a "new roof" that was done crappily just means you're still replacing the roof. Also something else that wasn't mentioned is the pin box, check to make sure there are no cracks or bends where its welded to the frame. Mine wasn't fully welded there and began to crack. Check the dates on the tires as well, they should be replaced if over 5ish years old. I bought my 04 with the original tires in great shape, but it was a great deal so replacing them was ok with me. They all have problems, and will continue to have problems, new or used, it's just something you accept going in to it and we love ours. It's essentially a cheaply built mobile home that's in a earthquake and a tornado everytime it's used, haha.

  12. Been there, mine was injectors instead of a trans but still stuck in Louisiana for a few days. I parked everything in a truck stop and with the truck constantly in and out no one seemed to notice my truck/camper not moving. Ended up having a rental car delivered, driving a few hrs to buy injectors, having the car picked up, and installing them myself. This might have to be different for you since it's a trans and can possibly still be driven, but that's what I had to do. Maybe look in to an RV park/storage and just pay for a month so you know it's safe. Either way it's a bad situation, good luck!

  13. I haven't gotten to really ride in one, but just taking some on test rides around the shop (kawi tech) I definitely feel like it's low on power and the brakes feel pretty weak. Aside from those 2 things they seem pretty nice, and I'm currently riding a 15 xp1k. I will suggest avoiding the add-on stereo, though, we have had tons of problems with them, usually the head unit or the sub in the back.

  14. I'm taking the 10 to the 78 in Blythe. I looked at the flying j in Ehrenberg and didn't see any water at the pumps, but I know some of those stops have them. I might stop at the Avondale pilot but was hoping for something a little closer. Thanks guys!

  15. Coming to Glamis from Denver and taking the southern route through Albuquerque and Phoenix on the 10. Is there anywhere around quartzite or nearer to pick up some free water in the camper? I think I remember the Loves having a RV spot out from with a spigot for water but it was several years ago and was just in a truck so I didn't really pay attention. If I have to pay for water somewhere I will buy you know, free is most always better. Thanks guys!

  16. Make sure a brake or throttle switch isn't stuck on, I can't remember if they had those or not. Double check your jets/passageways in the carb, it's easy for something to fall in as it's reassembled, I've done that a lot. Also, something I ran in to on an e-ton which is about the same ATV, check the spark arrestor. Had a clogged one and would rev slowly with the rear off the ground but would not move if you sat on it, pulled it out and ran perfect.

  17. Awesome, thank you! I doubt we'll take the rzr out of the TH, do I still need the title, it isn't registered. We got excited about possibly going but had read about some kind of vehicle importation fee that I have to pay but is refunded when we return, so I'm glad that doesn't seem to be the case!
