I've never been, but would like to at some point.
Assuming we jump out and push the car across the tracks, is it "rideable" from that point?

I get that, it's a long day and half the audience leaves before all of the veterans are recognized.
Admittedly we left after the flyover, but it was really neat to hear all of the introductions on the radio as we were duning out by China/Lizard. That was an awesome idea so people out of earshot could still tune in.

I broke my neck near the swingset 2 years ago. There weren't any helicopters available at the time, so I got to ride in the EMS Funco, then ambulance to Brawley. Once they found out the extent of my damage, (broken C2, 6 ribs, and sternum), I was helicopter'd to San Diego. That one was covered by Reach.
I recommend everyone add the Fly-U-Home to their membership as well. After stabilizing in San Diego, the next day they flew me back to a hospital in Phoenix which was covered by that add-on to the membership.

Dune therapy googles. Comes with Clear, Tinted, and Amber magnetic lenses. They change out in seconds. Also comes with a little bag with dividers so I keep them in the rail if we're duning while the sun goes down

So cool seeing stuff from that era. I only started going to the dunes in 2016. Ton of appreciation for companies that shaped the industry into what it is today.

That's awesome. Way to go

He has ridden in a couple sportscars in England but they have almost zero offroading there. This was brand new to him. He's an avid motorcyclist, riding all through Europe on his XR600

If on the west side, Allscapes did our backyard. They did an amazing job.

Finally put together a video from footage out of my friend's GoPro. It was his last weekend in the states and had always wanted to see Glamis before going back to England. Safe to say, he had a good time. Video is longer than I'd like, but wanted to include as much as possible for him to show friends back home

I've wondered about utilizing Starlink out there. With who knows how many people out there, sucking the life out of that 1 tower by the beach store, I've only been able to use internet on slow weekends.

Just called the Flying J in Ehrenberg that 1Hasbeen mentioned. They do have water spigots at the diesel pumps.
Have a good trip!

The other problem I've noticed is the "flats campers, myself included" turning out of the bathrooms towards the tracks adds to the traffic holding up the wash line waiting to turn onto the 78. If only there was a way to camp on the other side of the tracks and cross under the... oh wait, that's far too dangerous...

Taking apart/cleaning the CV's, oil change on the ecotec, oil change on the generator, filling propane, re-stocking TUMS in the toy-hauler bathroom.

We have the same 22" blackstone that matt86m has. Absolutely love that thing. Ours doesn't have the lid though.

Dang man that sucks to hear. Praying for a speedy recovery.

How as the expo this past weekend at Phoenix Raceway? Couldn't make it due to prior engagements, but was curious what people thought with it being at the new location.

I thought only diesel and other oil based fluids could be burned in a smudge pot?
Gas/E85 won't just burn out of control?

Finally decided to do something with my huge stash of stickers collected over the years. Sticker-bombing one of our plastic folding tables. I'd like to cover them with a clear epoxy or something similar to protect/prevent peeling.
Any thoughts on the best route for applying a sealant? I'm fairly clueless when it comes to home-repair type materials.

They just don't hold up. First set of lenses came unglued. Magnet to the lens adhesion failed. So much sand in my eyes it was brutal. Called and they knew about it. Sent me another 4 lenses. Silver and clear. Both of those have since failed.
Maybe they have a 3rd generation that's working. Don't know don't matter. Ive moved on.
For what it's worth, they have updated the lenses to solve that issue. I had a lense begin to separate from the adhesion. They sent me a new one no questions asked.
Have since bought a new set of goggles for my wife and all of the lenses are the new style

Good to see all the amazing people involved in such a masterpiece

Has anyone brought a smoker out? I've thought about bringing my electric pellet smoker, only to realize I'd need to have the generator on for hours or hope the inverter could handle it.
Definitely not spending the day tending to an offset smoker.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I saw that too. Part of me wonders if she doesn't like the phrase "lost the battle to cancer" or if it was, in fact, something else. Either way, my heart goes out to the family.
