  1. I'm sad to say my ride to the flag has been canceled.

The new owner on my old Funco didn't have time to confirm

the empty seat. He is busy, the buggy not 100%.

If anyone at wash 22 has an empty seat, I'm available.

    What did I do today..

Well, I thought of getting a haircut, but decided to

    drink instead.

I binge watched The Blues Brothers again, and now I'm binging on "Lonesome Dove". (Worth the time)

I stopped by Paul's Photo to pick up a Photo Book I had printed.

    Excellent quality.

Tomorrow, the Long Beach Cycle show.

Monday, back to Paul's to order some more books.

(After I sort through 4 TB of pictures)

Motorcycle show was about a 50% bust.

Many vendors missing in action. I did find a "Rust Bucket" Minibike, full suspension, rims tires, disc brakes, and some rust. Did I mention there was a little rust? But, for $40.00, it fell into the back of my car. (I still have two engines available) Pictures as soon as I find my camera rust filter..

Oh, and a Schwinn strand cruiser for $65

  4. Osborne was not our "Normal Campsite", as we had been in Wash 2 for 20 years.

In those days, the kids would circle any camps and dust up all of the mothers.

This didn't set well with them, So we strung some caution tape, and hoped they would stay away. It "Sort Of" worked. The kids started riding up on the berm behind camp and even more dust was the result  (A "Never Ending Story")

One day a kid pulled the starter rope on a home built three wheel disaster, and it actually started. The kid refused to let go of the rope, and the trike pulled him across the wash and crashed into: First, our beer cooler, second, ripped the side out of a new tent. Well, no parents were around, and the kid was not killed, so no harm, no foul I guess. Still, no bad days.

  5. I know, I always start with "Back In The Day".

But, it was "Back In The Day".

We were still tent camping, and due to the middle of the week, we snagged a spot on top of Osborne. By we, it was two families, three tents. About 10:00 pm, the wind came up something fierce, and blew down all of the tents. Yes, we were inside. Well the women freaked out and for the rest of the night we hunkered down in the cabs of the pickups. Still one of the best trips ever. No bad days.

  6. Back in the day, I was badge number 5 for an un-named city.

They were corrupt, and I decide to exit. (I even left the state as they seemed not liking me knowing what I knew)

Not that long ago, I was invited to a bachelor party, only to find the security was two homicide detectives. With guns. (Another un-named city)

Over a few beers, I could elaborate. (Whistle blowers seem to have single car accidents)

So anything I hear these days, may be true. Can't say, don't know.

    Where was that?

In those days, we drove South on Hwy 111, (On the way to Glamis) ,

and I stopped at a field on the west side of the road.

Plenty of agriculture in those days. For a while, I had a "Side Gig" delivering

deli sandwiches to bars and such, including the original Glamis Store.

    Fun times indeed.

  8. Scrapping those racks seems to be the norm. My buddy Larry just carried several tons of racks to his back yard. His buddy is closing a warehouse and they needed to go. Larry said, "Put me in coach". He has an issue with hoarding and plans on organizing his "Stuff". (This will not happen) Anyway, scrap steel doesn't bring much. If it will cover the price of gas and labor okay, but I suspect no.
