  1. For $65/yr, I will deal with the fine print.  If I do have to get life flighted I know I am covered, my regular insurance does not cover it that I am sure of.

  2. All this back and forth is funny.

I guess we will just have to wait and see if the rangers are pulling buggies over for operators not wearing helmets.  From what I can decipher here, it looks like we will not need to.  Hope not, it's already tight in my Funco for head room.

  3. Thank you Poule!  I reserved it.  I will be taking a flatbed with RZR and quads.  Sounds like there is an overflow lot at this park, is my stuff safe?  I don't have a standard enclosed to keep it locked up night and don't want to take the stacker so flatbed it is.

Wife and I might take a little wine taste too in SLO, only 15 min away.  Weather looks killer too next weekend.

Rather not coat all my chit with WD40, if I stay off the shoreline with the toys and strictly in the  dune area, will any bare still rust?

  4. My group has bailed out of havasu for the 4th so I actually can get one spot left at Pacific Dunes Ranch Campground which  in a Thousand Trails park.  Anyone stayed here?  All other parks I found and that were mentioned in the thread are full,  I was thinking of taking the Moho and then also truck with flatbed for UTV and 2 quads.  Would I enter at the circled area and then drive down the beach?  Would I get stuck with a 2500 duramax and the flatbed?

Pismo Coast Village OR Pismo Dunes RV Resort! Love both! They have a storage lot for your trailer / Bring OR Rent a truck and have Fun!

    LOVE PISMO SOO MUCH!!!

    :poule:

Do they have direct access to drive UTV and quads to the dunes?

  6. Was thinking of making a trip before they fully close to OHV in 2024.  Never been.  Probably good time of year.  Any full hookup campground with direct access to dunes?  We have 43’ tag with a stacker so dry camping on beach is not an option.

  7. Just FYI for those looking at RV solar, you can pick up used 250W Trina panels in good condition from SanTan Solar in Gilbert, AZ for around $66/ea, they have other panels too.  This pricing is for local pickup, if you need shipping it is significantly more.  They also have an Epever 40A mppt solar charger for $120 (carry Victron mppt controllers as well but cost you significantly more).

500W system would only cost you around $265 plus the hardware, wiring, and (2) breakers.  Maybe $350-400 for it all if you can install yourself.  1000W system wouldn't cost you much more.

    Seems like very fair pricing.

  8. My Polaris RZR is plated with 2 stickers on it, MC on-road use and OHV off-road.  Using in Glamis, do I need a non-resident off-road sticker?  Looks like I will need (2) because they are good for calendar year @ $30/yr.  Kind of confusing because I have both AZ stickers on my plate and it looks like per below I am good.

    1. If you are visiting California from another state and your vehicle does not have a current registration from your home state, you must purchase a California Nonresident OHV Use Permit before you recreate on public lands.
    2. If your state of residence requires residents of California, who have valid OHV registration/identification (green or red sticker registration), to purchase a non-resident permit to recreate in your home state (see Off-Highway Vehicle Information Bulletin 21-1
    3. The Arizona street licensed OHVs are required to purchase a Nonresident Permit to recreate on public lands in California.
