Sending my son to PHX this Thursday but he comes back to LA. That could change to SD or Temecula then LA.

Appreciate it. I've got a couple options closer than LA but let me know if it changes to SD or Temecula. Thanks!

  4. Hi all, curious if anyone is going to be making a trip from Phoenix to San Diego (or somewhere close by) at some point soon? I have a lone rock slider/side step that needs a ride. It’s 7’ long overall.

    Thanks

  5. Yeah curious how that's going to go. I only watch Roadkill, RK Garage, HR Garage and Engine Masters. UA also. Dirt Every Day used to be good but it turned into Destruction Every Day so wasn't too surprised when it did get cancelled. I do watch Dave's Dirt Head Shed on YT tho. The rest of the shows are a waste of time.

  6. EFF cancer! is all I can say. Lost my dad in '17 from what started as prostate cancer due to exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam that mad it's way into his spine. Later that year my mom was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. She's been battling it since with radiation and multiple surgeries. Chemo is not an option for her as each time they've tried, it's put her in the hospital with near death side affects. It's now into her chest and there isn't anything they can do so she's just doing her best to enjoy life as she can in her 70s.

If there was one super power I could have it would be to make all cancers disappear. I've lost too many loved ones to some form of it over the years.

  7. To follow up on this, I ended up taking the Jeep to the new Mossy CDJR in Chula Vista after conversations with their fixed ops director. I can happily say those guys know what's up and my WK2 was taken care of in a timely manner and it didn't even look like they had been in there. Except that they corrected some fitment issues from what the other dealer caused. If you need Mopar service in SD county, I'd suggest considering taking it down to them. Yeah, it's a long ways down for most but it was worth it for me.

  8. I still don't know how to process this. Brian was one of the very first GD people I met face to face. At the E-bar in Rancho Bernardo for a GD gathering. We had many, many great conversations over the years. One of the best people to have walked this earth and if you had the pleasure of meeting him, you never forgot the man. Take it easy, Pastor. Say hi to my old man, would ya?

  9. Have done into the low single digits in Mammoth a couple years ago, don’t really recommend that in an RV larger than maybe a van camper. Anyway, use the furnace so that it heats the basement as well. Yeah, you’re going to use a lot of propane, whatever. Leave a faucet dripping if you’re going to leave the hose connected to the spigot. When we did the single digits I ran an extension cord from the basement to the pedestal connected to the 15/20A socket and ran a space heater near the fresh water tank and had a drop light with an OG 100W bulb in the wet bay where my water pump is located. Ram the furnace and supplemented it with a space heater. We stayed plenty warm. I had to use the separate cord for the basement heating as the pedestal was not 50A in our situation so I couldn’t load the rig down with too much power draw. I was also running the block heater on the Cummins for good measure.

Our normal camping over Thanksgiving in the Owens Valley can get into the teens and I haven’t had to use the drastic heating measures there as I did in Mammoth.
