  1. F newsom, he implemented the fine for not buying insurance that the ACA basically priced me out of ($350 a month $7500 deductible, thats about $12k out of pocket before insurance pays a penny) and now all illegals will get it for free. so i dont have insurance i pay a fine at the end of the year and some guy walks across the boarder and gets it all for free.

they estimate it will cost 2.1 billion. but if illegal get it all for free how do they know who is who they are illegal how do they keep track, that would cause even more people to come accross the boarder.  guess if i end up in the hospital im just going to have to say im not a citizen.

if it goes to vote im sure it will pass since anyone and everyone can vote in CA and they send ballots out to everyone, then add ballot harvesting. i dont see anymore radical ideas being stopped by voters.

  2. i have been wanting that pro eagle extension. i have a HF jack as well, i think its the 3 ton, i bought it for couple little projects on my 2500hd before i even had the rzr.  my turbo s is too wide for my flat bed trailer and i need to strap the front suspension, im so tired of using wood blocks, i try to keep the blocks separate but they have ended up in the fire a few times. when im in the sand i use the ramp from the trailer to set the jack on so it doesnt sink in the sand. a smaller lighter jack would be easier for me since i have to bring it with me every trip, but i have been cheap and not wanting to spend money on something i really dont have to have.

my buddy in my group has to change out the paddles for the smaller dirt tires on his XP turbo to fit in his toyhauler. he uses a bottle jack and just lifts one tire at a time. it works good for him and he does not have a big floor jack and wood blocks

  3. i learned to ride in the sand did not start till my early 20s, rarely ride regular hard pack dirt, started on dirt bike, then quad now a rzr. one thing that seams odd when you are learning but slower is not always better. momentum really helps.

If all you are worried about is heat at night in your tent, just go buy a indoor safe portable propane heater like this:  https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Heater-F232000-Indoor-Safe-Portable/dp/B002G51BZU/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Mr%2Bheater%2Bbuddy&qid=1638924234&sr=8-2&th=1

They work really well. All my hunting buddies put these in their tents at night up in the mountains with temps far below what you are talking about.

thank you for that info, i ended up buying one of these at walmart and some cold weather sleeping bags. still much less than renting an RV last min.

also thank you all for your input.

I use to use El Monte RV and they didn’t charge for generator use.
like it was mentioned borrow a generator or rent one from Home Depot.

one issue i was having was my location, im in palm springs area (la quinta) not too many options out here all i found was rvshare.com that had one rv for a crazy amount and cruise america. tried facebook marketplace and craigslist. if anything ill just take my tent and if its too cold see if i can squeeze in with one of my friends RV. i just really hate to bother and take up their space.

  6. going out this weekend, normally i just tent it but its suppose to be pretty cold, was looking at renting an RV. cruise america has the best price i have seen. i really dont care much about all the amenities as im normally in a tent but be nice if me and my daughter dont freeze at night. main thing i could not find on the site is do they have a tow hitch. need to pull my flat bed with a 4 seat rzr. only thing i didnt like is its $3.50 per hr for the generator. not like i plan on using it much anyways. half the price of rvshare.com

any one have any experience with them? good bad?

My friend picked up these seats at the Sand Show.  They are a little taller the HSP.  His kids are 5 and 7

    https://www.aces-racing.com/collections/junior-seats/products/apex-junior-seats

was going to suggest the same thing. i have the aces races daytona seats in my rzr, i like them. i also use their booster cushion for my 10yr old daughter. she likes the booster too because when we are at the hill or somewhere just taking a break she takes it out and uses it like a chair in the sand.

    (1) Booster Cushion 3x2 – Aces Racing (aces-racing.com)

depending on size maybe move your older boy to the booster cushion and then give the younger one the other seat.

ill add that aces racing has been a great company to deal with. good products, cant beat the prices and great customer service. at least in my experience

Now I'm confused. If CA is a no fault state (which it isn't) then there shouldn't be a criminal case, since if there is no law against it, you can't be charged with it. That's logical.

However, every time someone is injured or killed in an off road incident, the CHP comes out and investigates the details, takes BAC measurements, which indicates to me that someone can be held accountable in an off road collision and the facts of the collision, including the BAC of the parties involved may very well come into it.

This was copied off of a law firm website, link below. They don't mention no fault, but do discuss assignment of liability.

i think these things need to be done to be able to come to the conclusion of no fault. if you were following all the laws and the accident happen then no fault. if you were drinking, no registration something like that where you should not be driving or the car should not be driven, then well its your fault.

i think it was last season everyone was going crazy trying to find a lady that was driving an older rail that hit or ran someone off the drags. everyone thought she had been drinking or should not of been driving. but the rangers did find her and question her and she was not breaking any laws so she was let go and i think that was the end of it.

Go Daddy charges $99 to broker the domain name sale and 20% commission of the selling price!!

I just spoke with a broker from Go Daddy LOL They seem to think the domain I was trying to buy is $8-!0K I offered $1500. They laughed. I said yeah pretty funny how someone has had a domain for almost 20 years and thinks its worth GOLD. I said well, if someone or some company really wanted it, I would think in the last 20 years it would be bought and used.  I said to the broker, it's worth what someone is willing to pay.  He said no it's worth a lot more!!     :bangin:

thank you for that info. i dont even think it was worth anything we were just going to let it expire. but if we could get a little bit out of it that would be cool. not trying to get rich but maybe just enough get a good lunch for our employees

I've worked for companies that want to buy a domain name and they can go for way more than that ($10K - $150K+).  I'm not saying yours would be worth that, but if it's something that fits a product, service or company perfectly that amount is a drop in the bucket compared to what a company can profit from it.  Following this thread to see other's input...

i been trying to do a little research on what names are selling for. its anywhere from $100 to a million.

flippa.com has a big list of ones for sale. even the ones around the name i have are asking for a big range. $100-$15,000.

i have also found auction sites but that can go either way as well might get a few people bidding might only get one. still doing some research on it.

Ok, this is gonna sound funny, but....

    CHEW your food...all the way!

Don't take some big ass bite, chew 2 times and gulp it down.

The more you chew the more you break the food down and you actually can end up eating less believe it or not!

    Try it...do the 32 counts.

I usually end up doing more. Now I don't count every single bite, but you get in the habit of chewing till its gone and easy digestion and you end up eating less food cause of it too believe it or not.

    :dbart:

im on the opposite side, trying to gain weight. i hate eating. normally my last few bits im drinking water with it and swallowing them like giant pills.

  12. has anyone ever sold a domain name? we have a couple that we dont use that GoDaddy is saying have a value of around $1,500 each. who knows if they would really sell for that or not but it got our interest up. GoDaddy has the service to sell through them but im not sure what percent they take.

is there a better way to go about selling it rather than using GoDaddy? its just a little bit of bonus money so would be nice to get the most possible but ease of transaction is also important.

Why I'm going to "immunize" my kids against a disease they have a 1 in 20M chance of succumbing to is beyond me.

me and my daughter got it in september she is 10, she was sick for about a day and a half, some Tylenol to help the fever and she was good.

also i was fully vaxed since april, covid hit me pretty hard. i really wanted the shot when it came out i even found a way in the first teir of people because part of what my company does is medical billing.. i got covid pretty much exactly 5 months after i got my second shot. its not fun at all. drs thought it was just a bad sinus infection at first since i was vaxed and didnt have all the covid symptoms. maybe the vaccine made the illness not as bad and kept me out of the hospital or maybe it didnt do anything i have no idea. if it did help at all im still glad i got it. as for my daughter i really dont want her to get it. she now has the natural immunity from having covid and she has been worse from a simple flu than from covid. just have to wait and see how the mandates for schools play out. im not anti vax but i dont like the mandate but if it comes down to her education or a shot then she will get the shot.

  14. i remember back a while ago that even though it was voted on by the state it sill has to go through something in congress. and that is the hold up. i think there were other states that were also waiting as well.

read some stuff since making this comment. staying on daylight savings time requires congress approval. CA can by pass this approval by being day light savings time exempt meaning we would always be on winter time.

I would have Ed do it. Had Shock Therapy do my '19. I have an appointment Thanksgiving morning, but I'm going to G Friday and supposed to leave Tuesday (2 days before Thanksgiving).. family will all bail, so not sure I want to be in Glamis alone for 2 days.. I'd get there in the morning, it would be done by noon or so and I'd barely make turkey dinner.. probably going to reschedule.

I'm satisfied with the work they did on the '19.

    abc

how much of a difference does the shock work make on the velocity? if you are doing it again for the new one i would think its worth it.

  16. so only SD residents have to pay? what about all the driving they do out of the county? what about people who live other places that drive to san diego? how would you report/verify miles driven. just seams like it would be a hard thing to do. if they just charged SD residents on every mile they drive im sure someone would fight it in court if most their driving is out of county.

CA pushed for electric cars and then mandated more efficient cars, then the gas tax revenue went down, so they raised the gas tax multiple times. still not getting enough money so now stuff like this.

  17. love halloween, i do need some new stuff. i had a list of things i wanted to get this year but that money went to the rzr. my neighborhood is crazy on halloween its so awesome, i still need to go buy candy and that is about a $200-$300 trip. i really wanted the 12' skeleton and another nice fog machine. maybe next year. and i want a drone with one of those light ghost type decorations attached to it to fly around the cul de sac. we have a bunch of houses that really go all out. i need to step it up. hopefully next year.

  18. its been along time, 13 years, but i used to run one of the costco gas stations. we never had any rules like that. AQMD was always on us for something. i would not be surprised if it was something AQMD had a say in.

asking for the manager is worthless, the managers inside dont know anything about gas station rules, may times when i was not there the managers would call me to ask questions.

if you really want to know the reason you need to call the main buying office, if it was orange county or LA, the buying office is in garden grove. call and ask for the person in charge of the gas stations and talk to them. or if you want to go higher call the Washington headquarters. back when i was working all the main guys were good people.

you might be shocked by the things people try to do at gas stations. things i would never have though of i have seen and even crazier. people are nuts

  19. i actually stopped drinking because of the hangovers. im 40, in good shape eat well, water is basically all i drink on a normal basis. bad hangovers started about 35, after my last concussion about 2 years ago i noticed my hangovers felt even worse. not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.  throwing up the next day, cant really be productive at all. drinking is not worth the hangover.  but since something else is legal in CA i switched to that.

Chances are though that the poke is the reason you’re as sick as you are. Sounded like a fairly healthy lifestyle to begin with. I wish you well either way.

thank you! im really not that bad its just lingering, have been told multiple times the vax is probably why im not that bad. im going to tomorrow to get the antibody treatment, i just want to get this thing over with.

riverside county offers it for free in moreno valley. i just had to call to make sure i qualify for it.

  21. i was fully vaxxed by april. right now i am at home trying to recover from covid. i went to the dr thinking it was just sinus infection. DR tells me its just sinus no worries nothing makes him think covid. got my test back the next day and its covid. my daughter ( will be 10 monday) got it as well, she was kinda sick for 1 day that is it and she is fine now, but we are both stuck at home for at least another week. im on about day 8. im 40, very good health i eat well, hit the gym 6 days a week. its been more annoying than sick, i only had about 2 days of really being sick. i get some times in the day i dont feel well but nothing crazy. i would like to think its because i was vaxxed. we know now the vax wont stop you from getting it but if it helps to not make it as bad im glad i got it.
