Kawasaki released the Teryx 4 H2 today! 250HP

I was talking to my buddy Chad Nelson about these yesterday, and I asked him what he'd buy if he was buying new.. One of these or a Can Am or Pro R.. He instantly said Can Am, and said they are having a lot of problems with the Kawi's..

Kinda took me by surprise to be honest?

Did Chad say what problems they are having with the Kawasaki? I do know one blew an engine and we have seen some belts blow and wipe out the outer CVT cover. But I have not heard much after that.

I hope someone figures out how to quiet up the supercharger chirping all the time. Not so sure if it can be?

Yeah but beating the shit out of them when they are fresh has more to do with longevity of the machine rather than breaking something instantly..

This right here.

I always take my time to break in my toys and I seem to have the most reliable of them all... no matter the brand.

When the Artic Cat Wildcat came out, my brother bought one. He got to Glamis before us so he was running it around as we showed up. What I jumped out of the truck to was someone trying to be Curt LeDuc and literally "NEVERlifting" his foot from the gas pedal almost the entire time he was in that $17,000 machine. Lots of commentary was laid down from various sources as to how that's not the best practice, right out the box. Guess how many issues he had with that Toy? All of 'em. He would break belts from Camp to the base of the Dunes... replace that belt and then break another one on the way back to camp.

I got an XP4 900 soon after and took my dear sweet time breaking that thing in for WEEKS. No hard accelerations, just cruise the fucking thing. I had almost ZERO issues with that toy in the SIX YEARS that I owned it. A coolant hose broke on one ride and my OG Belt FINALLY broke around 2200 miles. I led Sand Cars through the Big Dunes, took it to Idaho up the Steep shit, ran it hard in Ocotillo and the high Washes in Glamis at 75 mph routinely and it just kept running amazing. No clutch issues, nothing!

It does matter... all of my toys show this.

Just turn up the music in the helmet and you won't hear it.

From what I have seen thus far the belt going boom and taking out the CVT cover was self inflicted and the motor who knows what happen.

Seen videos of guys taking them out in the trails back east, guys rock crawling and some dunes in Utah. Once Glamis/desert season starts we will see if there are belt issues and other issues that come up.

I think we will see what issues arise as more people get their hands on them. I would not expect any major issues with the Kawi. There is a lot of upside to the H2 and once Evo gets the tunes sorted out with clutching it is going to produce gobs of HP.

I take it Chad has not driven one yet.

I am sure his former youtube buddy will get the new Kawi and put it through the ringer.

Chris Griner got to drive one the other day and he said the thing is lights out bad ass
