This day on December 8th, 2006 would be a special one. The day started out a little chilly, but the sun shined and warmed the golden sand of Glamis. However, the sun wasn’t the only thing shining bright, the girls of Glamisdunes.com were about to put on a display of beauty and grace.
As with most all EPO’s, it gets very competitive. Why wouldn’t it. There’s a lot of smack talk going on, and the purpose of the EPO’s is to make sure you beat your buddy. That’s how EPO’s got started. But on this day, there was more camaraderie and excitement for each to do well other than just whooping up on the competition. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of competition, but each participant cheered for one another, and was genuinely excited to see the other do well. It is a rarity to see that, and was cherished by all that got to witness it.

Algodones Dunes Sunflower
The Algodones Dunes Sunflower is a beautiful, silver-leafed member of the sunflower family. It is known only to the Algodones dunes system. It blooms March through May, and again from October through January. They grow in deep soft sand along the sides of large dunes, and are very tolerant of moving sand. Please keep an eye out for the Dunes Sunflower, it is Slappy’s favorite.
