  1. See my friends there.. But lets face reality last year Speed was the only thing new at the show and of course drew the crowds. And will once again take over the show.  Speed better show up with the "Big Surprise" RG been claiming.   Polaris/CanAm/Yamaha had serious sized booths but with nothing new aside from smart shocks, it was dead.  Beer for sure but sadly even the models with Boobs have not been there last few shows.

  2. Have had my CCW for over 8 years now and during 1st training and every subsequent training, the LEO remind you not to "paint" or wear clothing as not to show other you are carrying.  I've always took that into consideration when carrying and wear enough clothing to not show.  My LEO friends and family do the same.  But today at a restaurant this young skinny adult came in wearing a snug t shirt and shorts.  Clearly painting what appeared to be compact pistol inside waist  not even subcompact.  Yes I know what Im looking for but even my son noticed it without me saying anything.  "Dad that guy looks like he is carrying a gun"   Yeah it could have been some young grad fresh out of police academy proudly displaying but come on this was not cool.  If this young man just lifted his arms over his head he would have revealed he was packing and it could have caused some commotion.    Ok Rant over thought I share my thoughts on that and post something close to many hearts regarding carrying.

  3. We are crying about the insane fuel prices, what will really hurt most of us will be the continued rising costs of goods and services.  I am blessed to be able to afford the necessities and Glamis aint going nowhere.  I feel bad for those less fortunate that live pay check to paycheck with little ones to feed.

I see more and more trucks driving with windows rolled down instead of running AC.  What cracks me up is people still are doing 75+MPH on the highways.

  4. I was at $400-$500 per trip in fuel alone and that was before the war.  Not looking forward to my next trip this weekend as it will probably be $700.  Sooo glad I topped off the thirsty V10 at Costco along with 15 gallons in the cans before the war which will help a tiny bit.  Also glad the prices dont effect Race fuel much and my little 2.5L sips gas.

Fishing season is also close and my boat gets 2.5 mpg on a good day!  I also just spoke to my daughter in Nebraska and they are ONLY paying freaking $3.60 a gallon!

  5. Whats wrong with sticking with Igloo?  I picked one up at Costco and loaded it with ice and drinks for a party and left it sitting 4 days after party.  Opened it up thinking it would have water, but was surprised and 80% ice remained.  Made me a believer for the inexpensive brand.

  6. Was wondering what the legal limit is to transport gas in back of the truck.  I've always carried four of five 5 gallon jugs when I go to Glamis for the toys and never an issue.  Im well aware of the laws of pouring gas using the older type funnel or hose (which is all I have).  But I've seen 20 and 35 gallon fuel transfer cans with wheels and hand crank fuel pumps on internet.  They are more tall then low and wide and will be easily seen by cops and thieves lol.  Can anyone chime in on the legal aspect of carrying fuel and its maximum amounts.  I've seen guys with 55 gallon drums in the past that camp at G for 2 weeks, but pretty sure they breaking a law.  Since its going in back of bed, Id find a way to make sure its secure by bolting down to bed.  Im open to options or ideas also.

  7. When I was into home audio I ran Mirage and they were amazing.  Klipsch is ok for what you get at Best Buy but you asked for high end.  Had a friend with a B&W (Bowers and Wilkins) set up 2 floor a center and 4 ceiling.  He played a clip from Phantom of the Opera and I was utterly blown away.  Almost as if you were at a live performance.  We scrolled through Jazz and Rock and I couldnt be more impressed.  I wanted a set up but hes a rich doctor and can afford that stuff.  Good luck.

  8. Looking to get a larger toy hauler finally lol.  checked out a TH with salvage title that was a result from damage to roof top. There was a solar panel the ripped off its mount and obliterated the Auto satellite dome and antenna and gouged sections of the roof.  Insurance for some reason totaled it for that reason.  Everything else is sound on the trailer.  What I liked most about it the trailer has aluminum wheel wells rounded off like a speed bump so you can roll over them and not have to strap the front end of the SXS in to clear.  I did not look that bad to me and the roof is getting repaired as I type this.  What are your thoughts? Yay or nay.
