  1. I have a 2006 LBZ CCSB Duramax that I would tow my 2006 Attitude 33AKS 5th wheel with. I added air bags, deleted the truck and installed PPEI EFI Live Tunes. Truck pulls it very well loaded. The tuning helped with braking as the tow tune would use my turbo and trans to help slow the rig down without killing my brakes. Trailer is around 11k dry and loaded around 15-16k.Your truck is very capable to tow a mid-size 5th wheel or tow behind similar to what I have. Air bags would be my only recommendation for your truck as the L5P duramax has more than enough power for what you are looking to tow in a stock format. The trans is also a huge plus being a 10-speed.

Based on what others have said and the math, your will need 16ft for cargo area. To get around that, I added a rack on the back of by 5th wheel that could hold (2) 450 quads. Something to consider if you are sticking with the size you mentioned. I have a slider hitch that I would only use if I was transporting a 55gal water jug from storage to camp for a week long glamis trip. Otherwise I would never use the slider. Even in tight situations.

My 5th wheel is currently up for grabs and sounds like it might be in your price range. Its at little longer at 35ft and has 3 axles. Manual slider hitch and quad rack are included with it. DM me if you are interested.

  2. If you are buying a property that has an existing septic system, collect all record documentation from the previous owner and make sure it gets properly inspected/certified by a certified septic company prior to purchase. If the last inspection/pumping was completed in the past 5-10 years you are most likely in good shape. The record documentation should provide an as-built of the system and record of how they maintained it. This should give you a good view on the systems condition. Verify that there are no trees or bushes planted above the system. If there is, expect some risk there with root damage. Like others have said, be mindful of what goes down. You can use normal TP, but treat the system on a regular basis with your choice of septic treatment chemicals. We do ours every other month with rid-x. Personally, I would have it pumped for peace of mind and a fresh start to owning the new property.

We have (2) septic systems on our property in So Cal. One was installed in 1985 and the other I just installed myself in 2020. The older system is still working properly and had passed inspection back in 2013 with zero issues. Just had it inspected and pumped in 2020 still no issues. Wasn't necessary, but Riverside County made me do it for the new system install.

The new system I installed was very easy to install, but the county was a pain to deal with permit wise. However, the inspection team was very easy to deal with. We installed a 1250 gal tank with 150 FT on leach lines for a 1800 SQFT 3 bed 2 1/2 bath home. County made me make sure I had enough room for 100% expansion (room for another 150ft of leach line). Sounds like you are in AZ and probably wont have as much regulator BS to deal with.

  3. Ain't a hot rod, but we bought my in-laws boat last August for a "too good to pass up" deal. Needs some aesthetic love, but it runs great with only 300hrs. Mechanically she's ready, but I plan on fixing some gel coat cracks with a full detail, doing new upholstery, upgrading the stereo and adding a drive shower. Its a 1996 Chaparral Sunesta 210 with a Mercruiser 350 and Bravo 3 Outdrive.

My 750 x2 is always ready to rip. Just needs a light dusting off lol. However, I wont be making any river trips this season with a new born joining us in June. Just some late afternoon rips at our local spot for me on my x2.

@Looney Duner sick outboard btw! @Dune-Track-N dig the sanger!
