Richard has been leading our group through the dunes for many years. This car rips! He has taken excellent care of it too. He has always loved working on sand cars and his car is proof of it.

I’m not sure how big your company is, but I use Quickbooks Pro and do my own payroll. I pay my state and federal taxes and do my own quarterly filings as well. It’s pretty easy, but I only have 8-10 employees at any given time.

Caddis dry fly, it’s kind of the default up here, works during any hatch.
So fun to catch ‘em on dries. We float the Blackfoot, Clark Fork, Rock Creek and the Bitterroot rivers every June during the salmon fly hatch. It’s a ton of fun.

What are you throwing? Dries or are you using indicators with a dropper?

I have a 2 seat Ultimate.
Thank you. I was hoping that you were talking about the 2 seater. I know the 4 seater rides great due to the longer wheelbase, but I don’t want a 4 seater.

Well on a side note, this was my first trip with the new Pro R after the break in. Let me tell you, this thing is bad azz! The extra wheel base and suspension over my old XPT is night and day. I cruised through some pretty big whoops at 50mph effortlessly. Then smashed the big pedal and in no time I was doin 70, 75, 80! Just soaking up the whoops with a big azz grin on my face! Hope everyone else’s new toys gave them the same experience!
Do you have a 2 seater or a 4 seater?

Call me crazy, but I absolutely love this new Can-Am. I like the look of the entire car including the front suspension. I’ve watched every video that I could find and the suspension seems to work really well. The CVT is a big deal also. Hopefully it will hold up to the abuse that it will undergo in the dunes. This car will make all other players up their games if they want to compete. Kudos to Can-Am!

I saw him so long ago that he was the opening band for Bad Company in Tucson, Arizona. I was in high school, mid 70’s. Not many people knew who he was back then. Needless to say, he was quite the open act. He was excellent!

He has risen indeed!

For a Funco, just post it on on the one of the Facebook Funco pages, they seem to go very fast. Just saw a Gen 4 with your set up go in the upper $50k's................crazy Friends of friends are searching out Funco's right now.
Is there a specific Funco Facebook page that the majority of people go to? I came across several different ones.

Thank you Cookie!

Funny how I ended up with both his cars.
We talked a bit after I bought the G52.
Tell us about your hustler.
Funco Gen 4 Hustler 4 with a Turnkey LS6 and a Mendeola 2d built by AZ Transaxle.
I’m the original owner. I’ll post up an official for sale ad, complete with pics, if I decide to part with it. -

Interesting photo. How old is that. The hustler in the photo next to yours is my old car. Originally owned by Sandy Priasam
I’m not sure of the date of that photo, but Sandy used to run the dunes with us. He also owned the blue, white and orange 2 seat Funco G52 that you owned. You both have great taste in cars!

We used to see lots of sand cars for sale on this site, but now, very few. Where is everyone posting their cars for sale? Thinking about selling my Funco Gen 4 Hustler 4 with an LS6 and 2d.
I’ve looked at str8up and race desert, but it seems like there are not many cars for sale on those sites either. Maybe everyone loves their sand cars as much as I love mine and they are keeping them? I don’t know, but just in case I decide to sell, where is the best place to post it?

As you are well aware, I sold my Funco about 2 years ago and the only thing I miss is camping with you guys. I always enjoyed sitting around a good fire, with a good bourbon, with good friends. Like 1newbie said, it’s a ton of work when you do all of your own maintenance on your car, trailer and motorhome. I don’t miss that at all. Although, ripping through the dunes for the last 20+ years was an absolute blast!
I think you will be fine. You have been going to the dunes for a very long time. Turning the page was awesome for me, I hope that you feel the same.
