I'm thinking something like 18-24mo from now used RVs are going to be "on sale."

I thought 15 months ago it would be by now...not seeing it yet.

I have seen lots of posts from people that bought a unit to rent stating "that's the only way I could afford it"

Uh, chances are that's not going to work well for you long term buddy...lol

Yes wall sag is different. Wall sag is when the exterior walls that have no interior structural support transfer the roof weight down the walls and onto the floor out past the "trailer" frame rails. The lack of out rigger support as well as frame flex from it not having enough cross bracing allows the walls to start sagging.

You usually can find out quickly if your trailer is suffering from this is to open the rear door stand at the rear of the trailer on the street side and bounce up and down.  You will see where the cabinets are pulling away from the exterior walls. Well actually where the walls are separating from your cabinets.

    Interesting.

Will have to try that next time we're out at the trailer.

    Yes.

People call it wall sag but it is actually the floor starting to bow up.

There should be supports from side to side of the trailer.

Also there should be supports from the frame to the wheel wells.

On triple axle trailers, there is close to 6' with no support.

Delamination normally happens from a water leak and the wood below the surface starts to rot.

Happens alot on front caps and you can tell as it looks "bubbly".

    Thanks for the explanation, Lincster.

Knew what delam was but had never heard of wall sag.

    All 3 axles?

No I have not. I have been told there are good & bad knock off carbs, not sure how to know the difference?

    Any suggestions?

For me, I just go through and find some with LOTS of reviews - both good and bad - and then start reading both.

Some will have 12 reviews - 11 glowing and 1 that the person listing hasn't scrubbed yet...lol

I stay away from those  🙂

    Is it the 5500?

This is the genny I have:

If yours is the same, I'll look up which I purchased.

Had a new guy come to work here in the office last year after it being just me in the office. Wasn't the second week before I had to have the "talk" with him.

Be glad you're not a woman with a new co-worker who grew up on a farm.

Nauseating to walk in the bathroom one week out of the month.

Hated to do it but I finally said something to her supervisor about talking to her.

I need to replace the carb on my Onan Gen, before the season starts and they’re out of stock.

Have you checked for a knockoff on Amazon?

I ended up having to go that route. It works and I actually bought one or two spares to carry in the belly box just in case they don't last.

Sucks - unit is 10 years old and had the OEM carb on the 5500 generator.

We would have paid the extra cost figuring it was worth it (hopefully) but couldn't get one.

I am listing a Manufacturer home for $750,000 in a couple of weeks.  1800 sq ft, I would say they appreciate just fine

    22865 Vista Del Agua, Wildomar, CA 92595 - realtor.com®

I'd live there...well, except for the fact it's California.

My fiance has an issue with "trailer homes".

I keep trying to convince him I'm not talking a single wide on some cinder blocks in Kansas...lol

Bought a place in southern UT. Was up there last week and it was weird to see drive throughs closed and restaurants half full with lines all due to understaffing.

Our toyhauler is on property south of here (Fillmore).

Stopped to grab something to eat on the way out of town (to go home) last weekend - and the manager locked the door to the lobby for the same reason right after we walked in.

And, not that it is a "great" job, but you would think with the fact that there are less jobs overall down there that they would have people wanting to work there.

  9. We ended that crap here in Utah months ago.

STILL have help wanted signs up all over the place.

Didn't seem to help at all.

I knew before there were a LOT of people who didn't want to actually work.

Some tried to hit the lotto, some tried to make it happen with picking up a partner who had $$, some just tried to scam the system - welfare, disability, etc.

I have no idea how we are keeping all these people housed and fed - and housing here has doubled over the last few years it seems. Groceries are getting there too...

I feel bad for anyone trying to get "quality" employees these days to keep their business running.

I would love to see employers strike some revenge here.  All minimum wage, minimum required benefits, all drug tested...

It would take a while but people are going to get hungry real fast.

    Uh, no.

They will just increase the disability rolls by the millions like they did 10 years ago....remember??

We are still paying for all those "disabled" people - and if you don't know me, stfu right now. I actually have TWO sons who are legally blind AND hearing impaired so I am in no way ragging on those who are "truly" disabled. Just the ones that the 2008-2016 administration threw on there to keep unemployment numbers low.

  11. I looked years ago at doing this, out west of Phoenix before it ever was built up.

I know at the time, the manufacturer that seemed best IMHO (that was available in AZ) was Silvercrest.

    https://www.silvercrest.com/

Like I said though, this was years ago - I have no idea now?

They surely were not "cheap" but you could tell that too when you walked in compared to the normal, run of the mill, next to the free way mobile home units.

IIRC, Jimmy Miller's parents (of Jimmy & Kelly...lol) bought one for their property outside Yuma - but I could be completely wrong on that.

Definitely lots of research and time to find the right builder for you.
