Other times, the kids are highly educated “businessmen” and run a niche company into the ground with mainstream business practices.
*********GD.com will not let me say Dik Cepek—— they replace it with “Pee-Pee” WTF! Really???*********** The one that comes to my mind is pee pee Cepek Off Road Stores. pee pee himself was a very nice gentleman. Then his spoiled rotten son Tom Cepek took over when dad passed away and ran it into the ground. I did get into it with Tom Cepek two different times and he was just a arrogant jerk. Anybody who was a regular customer of pee pee Cepek off road in the 80s could clearly see Tom Cepek was ruining the business. The business did not last long with pee pee’s son Tom in charge with pee pee passed away.

So many times, the second generation has watched the "family business" even though successful and decide they don't want this life for themselves, and that's ok. When the offer to sell comes this then is the owner's alternate retirement plan. Many times, owners do wish to see family continue the business and must accept this reality.
I 1,000,000% agree. I have seen this happen with three of my close friends that have inherited 5 to $20 million businesses. They have put in 10 to 20 years of their own time into the business and then say “”what the hell am I doing this for””. So I do not blame them for selling it off and taking it easy for the rest of their life. I’m just a little envious wishing it was me…..lol.

That's not cool.
It does not seem like any wheel companies are American Made anymore, I miss the old Mickey Thompson and Super Shop days when we had real shops for this stuff...not a McDonalds type retail chain.
I remember Western Wheel company ( which I owned many of in the 70s and 80s ) in the Cerritos-La Palma area right next to the 91 freeway…. And then there was one of my favorites, Centerline wheel corporation in Santa Fe Springs.

Nope, not like rent a wheel. Some years back they pretty much bought up most of the wheel manufactures. Clearwater is the parent company (Big investment firm)and yet “wheel pros” One of their 20 odd companies that they own just purchased four-wheel part and TeraFlex Off Road suspensions which is no small company. I believe Teraflex has around 240 employees in Utah. Clearwater purchased other smaller Off Road companies also. My understanding is on the companies they purchased about a year ago they farmed out over half of their products to China and of course raise the price up like crazy and now people are complaining about lesser quality of course. Simply just not a good thing at all.

Long Beach, California. This Friday 7 PM till about 10 PM. 75 to 150 Jeeps is the norm. Denny’s, Starbucks, Carl’s Jr. and lots more places within a few hundred feet. About two blocks east of the 405 freeway on Bellflower. Open up picture for the address. Lots of super cool jeeps to check out. All 4x4’s are welcomed.

Here's a spin on this...."Be Kind to Kind people..."
You never know what others are going thru, don't just assume by what you see on the outside....what might actually be going on internally.
Some folks are drowning in life and nobody even notices until their gone. RIP Chester.
Not sure what demons he had in his life to talk him into doing what he did to him self…. But the world sure could’ve used more people like him….. especially on stage.
