  1. I am punching out September 2024. I am a bit older than yous guys, 61, but still feel early 30's. Mama gonna work at least 4 more years, but we are almost debt free, and she works remotely(Starlink gets fired up this weekend, we can be anywhere!). We have our house in Apple valley set up exactly how we want it, so that would be hard to walk away from. My SS(even retiring at 62) will cover our monthly nut, so the rest is gravy.

We plan on travelling a lot, around the US. We have been to England, Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, and contenetal Europe, so we don't have a huge desire to travel overseas for a long while. Maybe Italy. I wuld like to play at flipping cars, but not play hard. Just Civics and Camrys, clean em up, put fresh plates on em, and sell them.  we plan on Snowbirding it for awhile, and if we find a place we absolutely love....

  2. Funny, that was the music I listened to in the 80's. I do not remember that DIO song, or the band itself. The lead singer looks familiar, but I don't remember them or Last in Line. I should because it touches on everything I was into at the time.

5 people I camp with at Roadrunner have Starlink and it's badass. Fortunately I have most of their passwords so I haven't bought one myself.

Dang it, to slow as usual. Been wanting a bead roller for a while to make some panels for my current project. Can I be second in line for the roller. Also interested in the dimple dies. I can stop by Tueaday on my way home from work. I pass right by your house on my way home.

If you ever get Fontana way, I can make you a long term loan of my HF bead roller with the dies.

Depends. Sitting in an office, typing on a computer, naw, shouldn't matter.

Too fat for the boom lift?  Sorry bubba.

    Curing racism with racism.  Classic.

We had a bucket lift in here for repair and certification, and the bucket had a liner in it. image.png.770964d76f78d02fb3b9f4ab83e07dc1.png

Decal says Maximum Capacity 300 LBS.  245 LBS with liner. I could not certify lift!

    My depression was epic.

To ensure fitting Veterans Day tributes occur across the country, VA and the Veterans Day National Committee (VDNC) encourage communities and non-profit organizations to submit applications to host VA-recognized regional Veterans Day observances.

Sites are selected based on community involvement, regional impact and continuity. Each approved regional site receives a supply of official Veterans Day posters, military ceremonial support from the Department of Defense (DoD), where available, and a certificate of appreciation from the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for inclusion in the site’s official Veterans Day program. In 2022, VA approved applications from 32 regional sites, representing 25 states and the District of Columbia.

The VDNC, comprised of representatives from nearly 50 organizations dedicated to serving and supporting America’s Veterans, plans the National Veterans Day Observance at Arlington National Cemetery and promotes regional events that honor Veterans of all eras and military branches for their service and sacrifices. The regional events range from ceremonies and concerts to parades and school programs that all celebrate the vital contributions of Veterans to American life.

To apply for consideration, download the regional site application and return it to the address listed on the form by May 1, 2023.  Applicants may also email the completed forms and supporting documents to vetsday@va.gov. The committee will notify applicants of its decision in July.

Contact the Veterans Day National Committee at vetsday@va.gov if you have questions about the application process or the Veterans Day Regional Site Program.

Are you serious with this post?

Do you seriously think the best way to collect tax money is to spend a large fortune for more auditors??

Here's a novel idea. Simplify the tax code. Remove all of the deductions, credits, deferrals and loopholes. Just make the tax a percentage of a person's income with a linear increase in tax rate as the income increases. That's it. They currently collect all of the income/interest data directly from the source via computers. All they need to do is track down unreported sources of income, which is far easier to do than verifying all of the current loopholes aren't being abused.

Simplify the tax code, don't build an army of tax collectors.

When the IRS is larger than the military, will the public finally wake up and realize that the gov't considers us the real enemy?

I believe they did that for the middle class when Trump 'simplified' it.

  9. Well, to answer the original question, we have found the coffee for us

    image.thumb.png.53e125cdbbbafa9101f46465ef86690b.png

This is the chit. Cheaper than Bucky's by a long shot, and is not bitter(we make it strong), just a smooth creamy coffee. I prefer with a little half n half and some stevia.

And I never changed my coffee habit when I went on BP meds.
