10 day rally race. Started in Los Angeles, ended in LA. Everyone was on thier own and got the daily race notes each morning. The Baja part was 90% dirt (only on roads where you had to). Yes, there were some longggggg days in there.
Sounds like a fun trip. As long as you don't have to deal with miles and miles of whoops those long mile days are not too bad.

boy did these RC cars lead us down a long expensive trail. it was "my boys hobby", but I got to pay for it all. they stuck with it after I closed the wallet, but they both eventually got to the point the squeeze was not worth the juice.
The nickel and dime hobby that adds up to thousands of dollars quickly. LOL!!!

LOL, yeah. I've paid zero attention lately. They seem to mainly make RTR products these days...
When Horizon took over it was not the same. They have decent 1/8th scale race buggy and truggy. The 1/10th scale 2wd is the current world champion, but rumor is most of the car had AE parts on it. LOL!!!
Lots of good race buggies out there.

I think that buggy got lots into racing. My kid races for Associated.

Did not get in as many trips this season, but covered a lot of dune miles. Next season I plan to go out more.

What was the total mileage you covered in Baja?

Very nice. Did you cross in Mexicali? Where did you leave your trucks and trailers.
Running the Baja race course shortly after a race is brutal.
When I have gone we drive to Ensenada and leave the trucks and trailers there.

If looking used I would probably avoid the covid built years when Ford was scrambling for parts and to produce the trucks. This would go for all the other truck manufactures. End of 2022 build should be fine.

Good times! From snow to perfect beach weather.

I guess they will have to use all the infrastructure money for infrastructure. LOL!
Watching the bridge collapse was crazy.

Awesome trip and it is not a Baja trip if you don't have to fix something on the trail. I always consider Baja trips adventures.
There is just something way different about being in Baja off-roading.

No dump at the Loves. Wish they would of put in dump stations. Usually go to Red Earth to dump.

Holiday weekends washes have more room for larger groups. Off weekend when the group is much smaller we try to camp on Gecko. Each offers a different dune experience.
Way back in the quad days are favorite spot was right off the end of cement flats in the sand. We all had trucks and small open trailers. Perfect place for tent camping.

we've been trying, I mean the product developers all test there all the time
Allegedly they are going to host more events this year. We were there in January for Westergaard's race and be back when JBRL is there.

I actually know the facilities mgr, they run a few nights a week normally but the nitro is bad stuff. The track is directly next to the kids fish pond and it get's pretty thick over there
That pond is a gold mine during the summer. We went out for a Sunday club race and that pond was packed with people.

Don't forget about Hot Rod too
We hit up Hotrods when they have a new layout or my kids wants to go screw around racing with some of his buddies there or when JBRL makes the last stop of the series there.
Jimmy is a good dude.
You 1/5th scale guys need to convince Proline to host a race at their track.

The funding went to that high speed rail to nowhere or is part of the missing money for the homeless that no one seems to know where it went. Where is all that money from the stupid gas tax increase that is supposed to fund roadwork?
