  1. The funding went to that high speed rail to nowhere or is part of the missing money for the homeless that no one seems to know where it went.   Where is all that money from the stupid gas tax increase that is supposed to fund roadwork?

10 day rally race. Started in Los Angeles, ended in LA. Everyone was on thier own and got the daily race notes each morning. The Baja part was 90% dirt (only on roads where you had to). Yes, there were some longggggg days in there.

Sounds like a fun trip.  As long as you don't have to deal with miles and miles of whoops those long mile days are not too bad.

boy did these RC cars lead us down a long expensive trail.  it was "my boys hobby", but I got to pay for it all.  they stuck with it after I closed the wallet, but they both eventually got to the point the squeeze was not worth the juice.

The nickel and dime hobby that adds up to thousands of dollars quickly.  LOL!!!

LOL, yeah.  I've paid zero attention lately.  They seem to mainly make RTR products these days...

When Horizon took over it was not the same.   They have decent 1/8th scale race buggy and truggy.  The 1/10th scale 2wd is the current world champion, but rumor is most of the car had AE parts on it.  LOL!!!

Lots of good race buggies out there.

  5. Very nice.  Did you cross in Mexicali?    Where did you leave your trucks and trailers.

Running the Baja race course shortly after a race is brutal.

When I have gone we drive to Ensenada and leave the trucks and trailers there.

  6. I guess they will have to use all the infrastructure money for infrastructure.  LOL!

Watching the bridge collapse was crazy.

  7. Holiday weekends washes have more room for larger groups.  Off weekend when the group is much smaller we try to camp on Gecko.  Each offers a different dune experience.

Way back in the quad days are favorite spot was right off the end of cement flats in the sand.  We all had trucks and small open trailers.  Perfect place for tent camping.
