I did two separate cuts. The first cut was only 2 in which left the window channel in place. That allowed me to make my bracket and weld it in and then make a second cut to the final edge. It's cool that my door latch rod and lever do not have to be disturbed. I may have to cut a little bit more off the bottom of the window guide. Have to decide if I'm going to mig or tig all of this.

  2. Summer trips are so nice it gets you to rethinking the trips during the season. Never ran at night though. Run early morning until about 10;30 or so then go back out 6pm or so. My first summer run the daytime temps were around 114 and made me question my decision, not after a few runs.  Yes, even some with long sleeves in the am.

So back in 1968 My dad built this Corvette gasser.  It was very fast for the late 60s and held some AHRA records. In 1971 the car crashed and was destroyed. Here is a write up on the HAMB from 2013.   (More photos at the bottom of that articl) The car was loaded up in a truck and brought back to the shop. Everyting thrown away or sold. Not a single part was saved. I have always wanted something from that car. So today an 80 year old gentleman calls our shop and says I bought the front wheels from your dad. Guessing 1971.  I was like sure and called Ken who was driving. Never thought the wheels would have survived. He said the front end was ripped away including the fiberglass.  So I call him and he remembered all kinds of stuff including my dad doing burnouts on Mariposa when he built the Guggies gasser. So now I am real excited. Drive out this afternoon to his home and bought this wheels. Very personal for me to have these back in our family.

Wasn't this at the old Tucson Dragway?

  4. My suggestion would be to stop alcohol, totally.  I have had to do this, and it has helped me. I drink decaf coffee and water, period. My sleep did improve and also loss weight. I have gone from 38 jean waist to 34's.  I take at this time only a Zyrtec for allergies. I am cautious of what meds do. While they may help in one area, at what cost in others. Figure I'm not fighting to prolong life, just be comfortable in my life however long that is.

  5. Looked at this and it just needs to be used as a trade in on another unit. Its life is close to the end. Nice thing about trade ins is salespeople usually don't care about anything except selling a unit. Never take time to see what they are about to take in.

My weekend warrior had the sagging wall issue. My insurance (AAA) tried to deny the claim as it was a known issue with weekend warrior. They then said it was due to a water leak and the insurance didn’t cover water leaks of any kind. I had them for insurance since I was 16 with no claims for over 15 years at the time. Well I had backed into a tree limb camping at Campland one time and it put a ding in the back roof cap. No real damage. The repair shop said the ding caused a slight water leak over time. So my insurance covered the repairs due to the ding. Just saying FWIW.

This is my son's and is the very same trailer and issues. Haven't seen yet, will in a little while, but he thinks it's from water leak that has caused wall to sag. His call this am said "wall falling off" I will see. I know that like with home owners the insurance will cover the damage but not the cause, like water leaks.
