  1. candace owens was talking about the diddy stuff a couple of weeks ago.  They have soooooo much evidence against him.  He's going down.  Rumor is that DHS was there to find 'some' evidence and 'not find' some evidence.  The higher ups in this sex trafficking ring will let diddy take the blame.  Heard Hillary's gonna visit him in the caribbean........

  2. These days I rarely put anything on CL or FB.  People are too sketchy.  Way easier to sell to carvana or carmax (yes you get a little less money) but no drama.  I know that not all cars are eligible for that.  Couple years ago I was selling an Audi S5 and a 'buyer' show up.  Five homeboys reeking of weed.  They want to go for a ride.  FML. Told my wife where I was going in case it was last time she saw me (how stupid I was not having a 9 on me.  I'm in passenger seat; two homeboys in the back behind me. 'Buyer' is driving (high AF) doing about 120 on the freeway.  We get back (stupid me having them meet me at my house) and he wants the car.  Pulls out a massive wad of 100's and counts off 34k in 100's (pretty impressive given how F'd up he was).  Lesson learned and I lived to tell the story.......

I get it. I'm 'only' 53 but the amount of work to prep, load, drive, unload, set-up camp, have 'fun', load back up, drive home, unload, clean toys, do maintenance, etc. is becoming an issue.  Especially as I am in the middle of doing all that chit now and wondering WTF am i even doing.  I used to do it because my kids loved to go with us, but all three are on their own now. My son is meeting us there with his GF and he still LOVES it.  Pretty sure that is the only reason I spent $1000 at costco and another $1000 on fuel to meet him there..... Sand cars are a lot like boats.  The two best days are the day you buy them and the day you sell them. AND the best sandcars (like boats) are the ones your friends own (and maintain) and invite you to hang out on...........

one thing that is cool is to see my son and his friends LOVE the sport and camping.  Even though they are in their early 20's and cannot afford the whole show (RV, cars, SxS, etc.). They still show up in a tent and a ratty old dirt bike that barely runs because they LOVE it.  They show up with a tent, no food, no riding gear, etc. and I do my best to help them out.  I go mostly to provide them with an RV to use for cooking, bathroom, etc. and drive my SxS if they want.  I love seeing their excitement and energy getting into the sport.   My wife (bless her soul) HATES camping (she liked it when we had the diesel pusher) but she goes and cooks for all the kids and never complains.     Sorry if I am OT.

To the OP; hope you can get there in some capacity at least once a year.  Sometimes sitting shotgun is even better IMO.........There was a long thread here years ago about all the drama of upkeep, loading, driving, etc and whether it was even worth it.  A lot of the responses were similiar and it came down to just getting out there to clear your mind.  Whether that was in a camper, a tent, as a passenger, on a quad, etc.  Sometimes sitting by a campfire with a beverage and watching stars is good enough.

People are allowed to have their opinions and issues that are important to them.  The issue is, making it everyone else's problem creating tyranny of the minority.  I try really hard NOT to let politics ruin friendships and family, but there have been a few.  It really came down to respect of one's opinions, mainly I got tired of being told I was stupid or wrong.

I try to be an "issue" voter but if the choice comes down to Republican or democrat, I'll always vote Republican, or not at all.  I've never been so divided and opposite of a political party than I am with democrats.

Hate to say it but not voting at all is nearly as bad as voting for someone like biden.  Not wanting to turn this thread into politics, but interesting to see what happens between now and november. RFK is a legitimate candidate, democrats are gonna throw newscum in there somehow and GOP has trump.  I would be fine with RFK because he is a democrat in the way of old fashioned democrats (and that isn't tooo bad IMO. Not like this progressive BS nightmare).  I will vote republican (even though trump brings a lot of baggage with him).  I would also have voted for Vivek (although he is a little unknown, but speaks well) or Desantis.  Hoping we can get a new generation of GOP candidates.  Candace Owens should be on a ticket when she is old enough.  Kayleigh Mcenany (still can't spell her name) and even Ivanka Trump would be epic (she is brilliant, well spoken, and less brash than her dad).  I hope Trump doesn't pick Tim Scott as VP just to get the african-american vote (although whatever works???).  Don't know that much about him, but Vivek or RFK would also be spectacular VP candidates.

Actually excited as I hope my vote actually counts this time.  I lived in KA my entire life (and always voted republican) so my vote has essentially not mattered for the last 30+ years.... :(.  Moved to NV end of '22 so maybe we can flip NV to red..... The amount of Trump signs and flags in my neighborhood gives me hope for America.  I went from uber-liberal bay area, KA to alt-right NV.  My house is nothing special, BUT every driveway has a 4wd diesel truck or Jeep, everyone has a dog and kids play in the street.  Everyone has a SxS, or dirbike, etc in their garage.  Feels like CA in 1982.  When I moved in, one of my neighbors came over and introduced himself.  He said there is no crime in the neighborhood, because no thief wants to try a home invasion when EVERYONE has an AR-15 with 30 rounds waiting for them.  Sorry for the long rant; cocktails kicking in.......

  7. Left KA end of '22. Every lib says people leave for taxes. Real $ doesn't give AF about state taxes. We cared about the garbage policies, crime, homelessness, etc you saddled that state with...

Btw, you know who is suddenly tough on crime now that his political career is in the black tank? Newscum........

F those douche bags and long live open carry.....

  8. Well...i am alt-right conservative and i believe that climate change is BS. Anyone notice that the lib leaders (pelosi, obama, biden, etc) that espouse rising sea levels ALL have homes that are right on the ocean?  My company does mud-slide repairs in CA (yes we are 'buried' lol).  Winter of 2023 was brutal for CA and this year has been better but still very wet.  One of my projects got 8" of rain in 24 hours in CA.  They called it a '200 year storm'. Meaning we should not see another one for 200 years. This storm did not feel like that although the winds were high.  Bottom line is it seems like we are getting a couple wet winters to balance out the prior 4-5 year drought...

Iirc, the cobrajet has been in the 8.60s/8.70s for 6 or 7 years. Hell they are in the 7s now....

Iirc that "chevelle" is a camaro with a body kit, done by an aftermarket company.   Maybe the same folks that made the bandits.

yes, but a demon 170 does it straight off the showroom floor.  Not a dodge fan, just impressed with the numbers.......

  10. kinda' OT, but a comp to this car.  Anyone check out the specs of the demon 170?  8.9's at 151 mph from the factory. 0-60 in 1.66. 2.0g launch. kinda crazy numbers when you think about it........

    0 - 60 in 1.66?........

  11. Love seeing wildlife in their natural environment!!!! We regularly see foxes, raccoons, deer, etc.  Last week we saw a river otter playing on our dock!  I was super stoked as I have seen 'him' playing and catching fish, but never out of the water. He was looking 'plump' so definitely better at catching fish than I am......
