  1. What a joke!

Im not changing Chit for Newscum. Paying more per KW right now would be worth tripping the grid. If the grid goes down in some areas, the media won’t be able to ignore it.

Last I read only around 12-13% of cars sold in California are EV. So even at 15% its great enough for the State to tell you to not charge your car! You can make this crap up! Lol.

I bet when we are forced and 50% of cars are EV it’s going to be like the 1970’s during the gas crisis when you could only go to gas stations on odd or even days based on your license plate number.  We are going to be told which days you can charge your car as we will be tripping the grid in 75 degree weather. And in the winter when solar produces less, yet we are turning lights on earlier, it’s going to be just as bad. Plus new houses are using electric heaters & water heaters, so more power is needed!

  2. I would not worry about baffles. RV water tanks have no baffles. Toyhauler fueling station tanks have no baffles. Your trucks fuel tank has no baffles in it.

Years ago when I raced Baja we had a tool box in the bed of the truck, but only the top 6 inches was for tools. The rest of the box was a fuel tank. We could carry (Smuggle into MX) about 50 gallons in it. Then on the deck of the open trailer I would bolt another fuel tank to the front rail & deck. It was something like 60x12x12, which was around 40-42 gal.

Never once did we ever have any issues crossing into MX or with fuel sloshing. I would not worry about it unless it becomes an issue, but I doubt it will.

Same here, and I’ve had zero issues and my pool is pebble. The rubber on the wheels has turned a tan-ish color though? My pool is salt, so maybe that has something to do with it? My Sister has a knock off of the same one, but hers is plaster & chlorine and their rubber tread is still black.

Fox's statement sounds like they bought ST lock, stock, and barrel.

    Screenshot_20220726-163404_Chrome.jpg

Interesting? I figured it was a partnership as in one of those weekly videos Justin does, someone asked about Fox buying ST, and Justins response was he still owns ST but that Fox & ST have a support & engineering partnership, and that you will be seeing more things coming out of ST. That’s why I assumed Fox did a partial buy in and not a complete buy out.

Can you fine anything on the Walker Evans deal? I’ve only heard it by rumor that it happened? But never saw an official announcement. Zak with SXSGuys is really good about finding things, like patents, accidental PR or photo dumps. He found accidental Pro R pictures almost a year before it was released. He found or was leaked to him this rendering that looked like was for the Fox/Walker shock announcement. But neither camp would officially confirm.

  5. It’s shocking how many companies & brands you use were sold off and are owned by bigger companies or investment capital companies.

Method wheel, GMZ, Tensor tire, was sold to Custom wheel House, which was then acquired by Thompson Street Capitol.

Baja Designs & PRP seats, Speed Strap were sold to Best Top, which was then acquired  by Kinderhook Industries.

Super ATV bought Assault Ind and Keller earlier this year. Just this month Super ATV was sold to Dorman automotive parts.

Fox Shoxs was sold to Compass Diversified Holdings in 2008, which later changed Fox into Fox Factory Holdings and made a public traded company. It’s been rumored Fox Factory Holdings has recently bought Walker Evens Shocks, and is a vested partner in Shock Therapy.

I have used Disount RV in the past. Great guy. I had actually called and tried to get in contact with him before our last trip to so a coolant flush on the MH but could never get a call back. Kind of assumed he got mor in the retirement mode. Bummer cause he was a very helpful honest guy. I will tey hom again on monday.

No retirement, he’s busy as can be. Even trying to hire more employees, but has struggled to find more that want to work and do the quality that he expects. They have a “automated voice “ phone system as they struggle to answer phones.  Just call, hit 1 for Tori and if she does not answer leave a message. Tell her in your message you’ve called before and did not get a call back. They will call you back.

True story; earlier this year they had done a bunch of work to my RV. One item was new front brakes. About a month after getting it back we had a 3 day Silver Strand beach trip planned. While getting ready during the week I noticed some oil looked to have dripped on the inside of the front wheel. Look like a wheel seal was leaking a little bit?

I called and left a message and a few hours later I get a call back from Barney. I explained it and he tells me he & wife are out of town for a wedding, and the shop was closed this week. But that he would call his son, to order & pick up new seals, then called an employee and told him to open the shop the next morning and replace the seals. Barney said get the coach to the shop at 7am and they will fix it so I can go camping later that day.  I told him it does not look that bad? He said nope get it to my shop in the morning. Who does that? He could have said sorry, but drop it off Monday when I’m back and we are open.

  7. If you don’t get any suggestions I would call Discount RV Center. They used to be in Lakeside but moved to Romona this year. (They bought a big shop) The owners are awesome people. Not sure how much engine work they do? But he knows a network of people and being this engines is in a coach, I’m sure he can refer you to the right person or shop.

    +1 (619) 448-6242

Of anyone in the San Diego needs RV service, repairs paint & body. I can’t say enough good things about DRVC. The owners Barney & Tori are super people.

  8. Here is a picture I keep as a reminder to remember my life is not bad! So get over it! It’s also why I hate the negativity of so many.

This is a picture in 2019 of a 4 year old boy sick with cancer going through kemo with his sister by his side.

Here is an update picture of the same brother & sister in 2021.

God is good, miracles do happen, so don’t take a minute for granted. Be kind to one another. Negativity grows nothing positive.

  9. Just reading about this. Figured it’s written by a Democrat Bob Wieckowski in District 10 which is the Fremont area.

Nothing I can find states why they want to eliminate the disposable propane canisters? There is no rebuttal or anything for this bill AB 1256.
but it passed the Assembly on 6/28/22.

Only 11 Assemblyman voted on it. 7 Dems and 4 Republicans. All 7 Dems said yes, 2 republicans said yes with 2 saying no.

  10. About 35 years ago as a kid I did 7 day raft trip down the Colorado river with my Grandfather. It was two rafts with about 12 per raft. On the second night our guide was pointing and showing us stars. He then pointed out a satellite and was explaining how some fly over N-S and then some E-W and how he could time them. I’d never seen one before as it’s not dark enough at home, and I just never paid attention.

On the 4th or 5th night several of us, me being the only kid on the trip, we’re looking up and sure enough we see a satellite go by. It was then timed as we knew another one would fly over at a certain time. Not surprisingly we see another one but it was noticeably brighter, and looked slightly closer. But going the same speed as the satellites. Then this “satellite “ abruptly takes a 90 degree hard left turn. Not a sweeping turn. It was a hard 90. It never change speeds and just kept going. At first we were like what the heck was that? Then everyone was giving their thoughts. Even people were suggesting Area 51 military stuff, but nothing could do what we saw.

Next morning one of the lady’s asked our guide about what we saw and explained it to him. He said he’s never seen that in all his years, but another guide he knows claimed to see the same thing happen multiple times during a trip down the river. Our guide said he chocked it up to two satellites crossing paths at the same time giving his friend the illusion it was turning. But there were 5-6 of us this night that all saw the same thing and no one saw or suggested two satellites crossed paths. Out of 6 of us, someone would have noticed that. None of the 6 accepted that might be what we saw. Plus it was brighter, and either larger or closer then the previous satellites.

The last few nights in the canyon everyone was watching stars & satellites and we never saw what we saw that night.

So here’s something crazy. My wife’s parents live in a gated neighborhood in El Cajon/Rancho area. Houses were built in the early 80’s and are this exact floor plan. We are friends with my in-laws neighbors and this is there exact floor plan. Right down to the buffet cabinet in the walkway between the entry way and to the family room & kitchen. And the drop down step in the living room . So crazy! I just sent him your ad and we have been laughing.

Im going to search for other houses in your neighborhood to see if they are all the same.

  12. The best security system is the 2nd A.

Alarms go off, but that does not stop someone. Some systems call the police, but that does not stop someone until the police arrive. Cameras record & photograph but does not stop anyone. In 95% of the cases the person is going to be wearing a hoody & mask which is common now a days. Cameras alone rarely ID the person anymore.

Your best protection is to learn your 2nd Amendment rights, and get educated on how to properly use a weapon, for the purpose of stopping someone.

And lastly. You can advertise with a sign that you have an alarm, or cameras, but you never advertise or tell people what you have or where you keep your 2nd Amendment rights.

I hated my Ring system except for the doorbell. I prefer a hard wired Swann system. I’ve had both and nothing compares.

Did you have the powered Ring cameras or battery powered? I have Ring and all my cameras are plug in and I’m very happy with the picture quality and features you get with the plug in cams. Plus I’ve had very good experiences with Rings customer service.

For those who don’t know Ring offers 120v powered cameras, but are still wireless as far as needing to be connected to the system.

  14. I’ve been in Akron OH since last Saturday. We are here for the Soap Box World Championships. There are several different race events during the week, but today was the big race for the Championship.

Unfortunately we got knocked out in the first round. Three cars race down the track and one moves on. It’s luck of the draw on your lane and who you race. The car that beat us, went on to finish in 3rd place out of 72 in our class. So we went up against tough competition in round one. The kid is second generation derby racers too.

Here is what losing by .004 of a second looks like. It’s not visible when they go by. We are the closest white car, with the winner in the middle lane, and third was the red car.

So .004 of a second ended our day. It’s crazy, but some kids lost to .001.

This was our second trip back to Akron for the Championship. My daughter is a 3 time Local champ, but we could not come back last year.

This place is no joke. It’s a permanent facility.

Tech inspections are serious and done multiple times during the week. You are weighed each time you run down the track.

Two cars went from the Alpine CA club. It cost us $3,000 to ship two cars round trip from San Diego to Akron OH this year. That’s double we paid before.

    It was obliviously coming.

I'll bet he gets off on the manslaughter charges because they decided to throw in the "with gross negligence".  With no witnesses, there is no proof of fault.

I had typed up a post suggesting something very similar to what Steve posted above, but deleted it.  Maybe the kids popped out from behind a bush and there was no chance for him to react.

The Hit and Run counts are gonna cost him some time though.

We don’t know if there are witnesses or not? Extra charges were filled, so maybe  the DA found witnesses that came forward, and told them what they saw? Or maybe the passenger is talking to save his own ass.

Not that I have any experience in this, but I do have a friend who was the assistant Chief to the DA, and he has said if additional charges get filed in a case like this, it typically means more evidence has been found or someone starts talking.

  16. That Dodge truck had factory lockers. He mentioned it in the video. He did the right thing by waiting to get pulled out. Who knows if he unsticks himself, he has no idea what is around the next corner or the 10 corners after that. No idea if another flood could come?

Ohh man. That's a bummer but at least you know what you're getting in to. Depending on what roof you put on it'll be 20-25k on the lower end.. at least here in San Diego.I 'd bring a demo crew in to strip it and then let the roofers have it from there. I don't ever hear about people recycling shingle roofs but then again I hardly run into them anymore. Might be worth putting a feeler out and see if someone will come strip it for the wood!!

If you do end up wanting to do a fumigation, do it after every last piece of new wood is in that house, including cabinets. New lumber these days is full of wood pests now, they don't kiln dry them anymore.

Sounds like a fun project, I would take a house like that any day of the week for the right price. I inspect so many flipper houses and know that they're going to be doing major repairs in the next 5 years. Lipstick on a pig is an understatement on some of these things.

    Get'er done!! 👍

I would never buy a flip house for that very reason. Flippers are more focused on trendy cosmetics like a fancy faucet, tile backsplash or “Luxury” vinyl plank flooring, but all the cheaper stuff, not the good stuff. But then they leave crappy windows, poor insulation, epoxy coat the fiberglass tub that will come off in a year. If a flipper puts a roof on, its going to be the cheapest lowest quality material they can get. Total lipstick on a Pig!

  18. Maybe not the help you want. But in the past I have had stuff delivered to the UPS store in Yuma right on 16th st. First exit after crossing into Yuma. Same exit you would take to go to the river. I’ve timed it right to have something ship there when heading to the river, and I’ve picked it up on the way.  But if I needed something bad enough, and not going to the river,  it would not be horrible drive from El Cajon.

  19. Why is he riding a bike? Second why is he using toe straps? Personally I don’t care if our President’s can or does ride a bike. I’d prefer they focus on running the Country. But in the case of Biden, who in his administration or family thought it was a good idea to put him on a bike? I mean seriously, a simple fall like that could seriously hurt the leader of our Country.

I had a co-worker that was in his 70’s. He was a big hunter & fisherman. One day trying to get his canoe off the roof of his car he fell back and paralyzed himself from the fall. He lived his last few years in a wheel chair and passed away this year.
