  1. Season was pretty good. No major failures but did learn alot and it cost me a new cylinder head and a rear main seal. Car car was never on the tow rope. Did not get nearly as many trips in as I would have wanted and one of the trips was such a dud with the rain and then finding out the hard way my (Used to go to now) Fabricator used a random bolt instead of a set screw with jam nut. Luckily it was on a slower ride and the car stayed in 3rd gear not some other big issue.

Learned that built J series motors must have the baffles removed to relieve crank case pressure. Spent most of the season chasing a leaking turbo only to find out it was that. Due to all the pressure, halfway through the season the rear main leaked like a siv but we pressed on.

Camped with some great folks in all area's, Washes, Pads and RR.

Looking forward to finally getting my new house so I can pull motor for repairs and trans for a regear.

  2. TRT and Diet. Once you start weighing your meals and counting calories you realize how much less you really need to eat for each meal. Also, try to limit fast food to one meal a week. For my family, we have an IN N Out night for our cheat meal.

For the joint pain, look into glucosamine and fish oil. They made a huge difference for me.

TRT has worked wonders for me. Granted I do buy it online and do my own shots but you can go to clinics that will do it for you.

Daily walks are huge thing as well. Get out and get the sun on your back. even it its for only 30 mins, it will help a ton.

  3. In my role, I am commission based so raises dont really apply to me. Its a sales role and its very eat what you kill. I have seen young guys come in that think its easy and only last 6 months cause they cant cut it. I noticed that many young folks are not willing to put the work in anymore but that is a whole different thread to start!

This role taught me a lot about to having to grind it our day in and day out to earn that commission check. TBH I do not miss the days of being salary only.

  4. I used to be a die hard wash guy but was then introduced to Gecko by a buddy of mine. I now prefer either Pad 1.5, Gecko loop or RoadRunner. Not having to go through the wash chop to get to the bigger dunes is a huge plus for me. Also I tend to see that the gecko is alot quieter at night versus the washes.
