  1. Chemical Guys makes a water spot remover that works pretty good, and I know some people use a vinegar/water mix also.

The Chemical guys one is a gel that you apply and wipe off.  Worked great on my daughters blue car and being near sprinklers one day

That is super helpful! In feb of 222, we bought our 22 Yukon and within the first 5K miles it started having issues with the screen/radio. Too lengthy to type but it went back about 5 different times in less than two years.

About 6 months ago the "Add engine oil" notice came on the dash. Immediately took it in and it was low but they claimed it was the oil pan leaking, but we fought that because there was never a drop on the ground and no sign of any leaks.

Fast forward to last week it came on again. Took it in for an oil change and they said they will do an oil consumption test.

I called GM on Monday and asked about a buy back and today they told me they approved it.

Not sure next steps once I give them the green light.

@dbart did they fight you the whole way? Does it seem strange they approved it so fast?

Weird you mention radio and oil issues….
This  is on my company truck, and we basically get a new one every 2 years or so. 2021 Chevy 1500 crew cab Silverado . The radio will sometime be completely dark when I start it and be on a different station, set at one volume . The controls don’t function and you can’t lower volume or change the station…..it goes away after being shut off and restarted a few times.  Also had the low oil warning after driving 2000 miles after an oil change…..sometimes it is almost 2 quarts low.  Never an oil leak either.

the truck is now at 98k miles and I’m due for another one in the next couple months and this one will go to auction, I’m assuming.

  3. Congrats to you and your son…you for raising him right and him for making the right choices and following thru.

    He will do great.

My son graduated, served 4 years in the army, and came back home . He lives about 3 miles from me and works for a defense contractor, is married and just had his first baby.

Daughter will graduate this year with a dual degree and just bought a house about 5 miles  from me…..she just accepted a job with a company she had been working part time for and they wanted her before she graduated. She also was working part time at another place while taking 18 credit hours. Both kids worked since they were 16 years old.

i was always “too tough” on them according to my wife, but never unfair. They both know their way around vehicles, power tools, and the things needed to survive.

You did a great job and the real accomplishment is that you raised them to survive on their own and achieve their dreams   Congrats again, and enjoy the next chapter👍

  4. I remember when these were built in Mesa Az. If it’s the same builder, I believe his name was Loren and he built most of them in his shop in the backyard. Most of the cars he built were either Nissan or Honda engines.

Before the board had its meltdown, there were a couple of threads on here about his cars and , if I remember correctly, one of them involved a lawsuit about a stuck throttle cable or something like that. This was probably around 2005 or so

  5. The truck looks great.  I followed the build when you first posted it.

Maybe list the truck and offer and “allowance” for buyers who want something different.

On a side note, I had met your dad several times, as my in laws built and lived across the street from him at Mormon Lake.
