Good Lord they are proud of their product! They do have some combo sets that would fit my needs, and then the mower. But dang they are expensive.

Yes, but it's good stuff in personal experience.

I just bought an EGO 650 cmf leaf blower for my Havasu house to move land ape rock ooff the street.  Crazy expensive but BLOWS the others away ..pun intended

Yeah, no one comes close.  I have the EGO blower, hedge trimmer and weedwacker.  Bought these about 3-4 years ago while I still lived in SoCal.  I would use them almost on a weekly basis and they're still going strong.

Figured I’d jump in here with a question kind of in the subject. Retiring for the second time here on the 31st. My yard tools here in the Mojave consist of a hulahoe, a garden rake, and a 48 inch landscaping rake. Moving up to Visalia and the wife is going to have to let Jorge, Jesus, and Jaime go. Not paying someone to do what I can do for free.

So here’s what I need from you experienced masses here on GD.com: I would like to find a set of battery operated tools that consist of a lawnmower, a weed eater that doubles as an edger, a hedge trimmer, and a pole saw. Is there any such a “kit”? Is there anything I’m leaving out or overlooking when it comes to lawn/yard care?

Haven’t owned a lawnmower since I moved off base and sold my 19 year old Craftsman gas mower back in 2001. Seems technology has changed, and not even sure you can buy a gas mower in California anymore.

I don’t mind going electric with my move but I would like a set of tools that all use the same battery. Thanks fella’s.

    EGO may fit that description.

  4. Had Milwaukee tools from around 2006-2009.  Recently gave them to my BIL and I bought all new Dewalt 20V brushless tools.  I typically go with the highest model within a group- it pays off in the long run.

Picked up a hammer drill, impact, HD impact, skill, grinder, sawzall, jig, 12" chainsaw and framing gun.  So far, I'm very impressed.  I spent almost entire day using the chainsaw around the property and still had a ⅓ of the battery left.  VERY impressed.

PS. OK so mine would be worth more..

My place in Mazatlan is .5 miles away from the beach.  We have a beater commuter CRV parked there (covered but not garaged) that absorbs tremendous abuse from the salt in the air.

When it comes to D'max you either want the '06-early '07 ("cat-eye" body style, not the new body '07.5) or you want a '11+.  The '06-early '07 are the LBZ with a 6-speed Allison, prior to '06 it was a '05 speed which was a little weaker in some areas, and various different versions of the D'max (LB7, LLY).  People love the LBZ because it got a power bump, has a cat but no DPF, and like I said got the 6-speed.  '07.5-10 were the LMM which *would* be another great Duramax, but it got a DPF and I'm not a fan of the regen strategy (injecting fuel on the exhaust stroke).  '11+ is the LML, which saw an upgrade to the 6-speed Allison, a completely new frame (even though the cab and bed look nearly identical to the LMM generation, inside and out), bigger brakes, beefier suspension/steering components, etc.  The downside of a LML is it did add DEF, but at least it has a sane regen strategy (9th injector in the downpipe, low pressure).  The L5P came around in '17 and got a good power bump, but those are going to be spendy trucks.

You post the most useful information on this forum!  Anytime you post, I find myself compelled to read every word of your posts…something I don’t do.  I also typically bookmark them.

You’re fasho invited to the carne asada here in Knoxville (and FL when my place is finished) if you ever find yourself out this way.

I actually scored both of them yesterday morning at 9:00 a.m. Walmart had a drop and they were both available, so I put them both in my cart hoping to at least get one. Now I just got to choose which one to keep.

I’ll buy the Sexbox if you decide to sell.

I was hardcore into Halo in the early 2000s thru like 2012 then became busy and didn’t have time to play.

I want to get back into playing it.  It’s the only game I ever played.

My wife's first response... "Where can we go?"

    Costa Rica, if you can.

If TN ever changes to the point it begins to turn into CA, we’re leaving for Costa Rica or Cabo.  I have Mexican citizenship so it would be a bit easier for me.
