I listed it yesterday on Craiglists for $9500, a couple of scammers, and two people coming to look at it tomorrow.  I can't find any paperwork in my Father's house on this tractor (other than a printed out manual).  Hope this doesn't deter anyone.

    Where is it located?

  2. You would be surprised with how little it costs to cool a shop with a mini split setup.  I only cool it when I am going to be working in it.  Leave it at 85 and then turn it down to 77 when I am in it.  In AZ you need AC in a shop if unless you just want to use it early morning or late night.

  3. Yeah the smart chargers need it to be "Jumped" if you want to get them rolling.

Try to find a NOCO charger.  If you can find a G26000 those will charge anything.  Including LiFePo4 @ 24amps.  They will also charge a battery from completely dead.  You can also use it as a 12v power source if you want to test things.  Cant say enough good things.  The new version is $500 so try and find the G26000

Because you have yet to have an old pool.

Tomorrow I will decide to have my pump and filter replaced/ fixed or fill the dam thing in. Have spent the last month trying to get somebody anybody to come out and get the dam thing so it stops leaking water. I have replaced every part and every time I replace one piece of the puzzle another starts to leak. Have had two guys come out and tell me to replace the entire filter/ pump , I say ok how much, they will get back to me,  I will get back to you is code for don't want to do anything or call you back.

Oh and I spent an hour cleaning the pool Saturday from Fridays dust storm and about the time I finished another storm hit. Got to spend an hour cleaning it again Sunday. Yesterday I guess I could of jumped in the pool but had other things to do but there is tonight, oh that's right another storm coming in tonight. So guess whqt I get to do tomorrow instead of enjoying the pool

Filling it in is sounding better and better

Its not that they DONT want to fix it... its that they cant.  You cant get pumps, filters, valves, lights, plumbing, panels, heaters, salt systems, cleaners or anything.

I am a builder.  I have a list of part numbers I search for every morning trying to complete a mile long list of work we have suspended.  I have even had parts sold out from under me at part houses.  MFG's are 6-9 months out on all orders from factory.

I know now it not the time to buy anything. I am just trying to figure out what the cost is. It seems like anything I want to do to the backyard is 100k. I would think, start it in spring so that is is ready in summer. But that is probably what everyone else is doing.

IF you start now you might be ready by next year this time.

Welp Fan tests good. So looks like the cap is the issue. Lucky for me, temporarily, who ever change the cap last time put a "universal" cap in it and it has Qty2 5 MFD post on it. So I switched the fan lead from the original 5MFD post to the other and now my fan, and by extension my AC, is working again. I am still going to change out the cap as I figure if one portion of it failed the others aren't far behind.

I will check Grainger on Monday. Of course they are closed on the weekends when things actually break.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

Disconnect the fan motor and strap a box fan from walmart up on top.

    My condolences to the family.

Is this my old car ? It had a 4e box when they got it from me. It's also a 3.2 Acura motor. Car was quick and fun to drive. I want to say it was around a 1997 or 1998 yr/model.

I might be interested in buying it back. Would like to see better pics. Looks to be missing the shroud around the radiator.

I think this is your old car.  I was trying to remember who he got it from.  Its a 2D now and on its 3rd motor.  The shroud and radiator are different now also.  The windshield they pulled off because it would overheat.  What you see is whats left.

  8. A good friend of our riding group passed away a few weeks ago.  He has a 2 seat Alumicraft that the family has no interest in keeping and has asked me to help in selling.

Im going to list what I know about the car but this will be an as is sale.

2 seat (Mastercraft seats recovered last season)

2d Transmission was rebuilt by McMullin 2 seasons ago.  Very little use.

It has a turbo v6 honda.  Motor is a JDM so basically a throw away and repeat when they go bad.

    930 Microstubs

Fox internal bypass shocks (car rides like a pillow for a single shock car)

The car has EPS but near as i can tell the rack is stripped and needs replaced.  Its a standard manual rack.

Rugged radios intercom with 60W radio.  Headsets were not in the car.

    Switch Pro

    Sand blaster 33" rears tires

    Buggy whips single led whip.

    LED light bar and cubes.

I can try and answer any questions someone might have.  I picked the car up two days ago.  I did not even attempt to start the car and just winched it in my box trailer. I believe the family is waiting on the death certificate to do the tile transfer but once that is received it should be an easy transfer.  I am not sure on the year.

This car needs to be bought back to its former glory and Im hoping someone wants to take on that task.

    PM for details.

    Car is in Glendale, AZ

  9. More insite.  "I worked in management at Fry's for about six years. I helped open five of their locations. One of the big issues not brought up in the video was Omar Siddiqui. Omar was John Fry's roommate in college and probably one of the real reasons Fry's expanded as large as it did. However, it was also Omar that had a gambling problem. To feed that problem, he borrowed tens of millions of dollars in personal loans from the Fry's, set up a complicated kick back system with the vendors in exchange for the company selling their product, a series of house brand products that he controlled and skimmed millions off the top, and outright embezzlement from the company for decades. Records show that he gambled over $162 MILLION dollars in Las Vegas MGM Grand in about a 3 year period and another $65 million at the Venetian. This made him the largest recorded gambling loser in Las Vegas history and that title he still holds today. I remember hearing rumors from other management about him bragging about driving his Lamborghini into the MGM and having a private entrance into the parking structure with an elevator to the penthouse. I met him several times and I don't think I have ever met a bigger ass in all of my life. He was beyond rude to anyone he came into contact with. Fry's seemed to be doing ok when other companies, like CompUSA, were falling because of the internet sales. Once the Fry's headquarters was raided by the IRS (yes, they came busting in with their yellow jackets and guns) Fry's never seemed to recover. Omar had destroyed relationships and credit with the vendors, all of the competitively price house brands owned by Omar now were closed, and the internet sales side of Fry's that was owned outside of the company and heavily manipulated by Omar, fell apart. The company was tens of millions at loss, and now with the arrest of Omar and people not knowing what was going on, they demanded cash up front for any new product and wanted to be paid for all outstanding debt immediately before sending out any new product. A company that large cannot do that. This was about time that I jumped ship....around 2009. They never recovered and slowly fell apart with no new product being allocated to the stores. Add into the mix, movies, music and games now are streamed rather than purchased in store, with that expanding internet market and things didn't go so well for them. It really was an exciting place to work, at times....university marching bands going through the stores, pro cheerleaders and athletes, the creators of some of the biggest video games showing up for lectures and autographs (Blizzard, Naughty Dog, etc). However, they did have a dark side too, like a lot of corporations, like not treating their employees very well, not paying them very well, not treating their customers the best (especially returns) but this seems to be true of most retail work. Don't feel too bad for the owners, however, they flat out owned most of the large real estate plots their stores were located at. They will be just fine."
