  1. Only place in the world where you get to see 5 decades of off road automotive tech in a matter of hours.

we were out at the hill doing a cleanup today and saw the old school buggy regatta role in. Love see the history and roots of mother G. Saw an old timer wheelie up old in a car older than me.

come back to camp and saw an electric ATC, didn’t get a chance to talk to the owner so no idea on the specs but it was sick.

  2. My wife and I are thinking of taking our daughter to Glamis. She is 3 and loves riding in the can am on the Forrest roads here.

we have used a bump seat for the last year but are thinking of putting her in a child’s seat with a full face helmet.

how young have you guys had your kids in your sxs or sand car?

  3. Just finished talking with my neighbor, he said he will never do this weekend again. First and last camp rzr weekend for him, complete chit show from start to finish. For him it wasn’t even the number of people but the complete lack of respect and people intentionally being Jack asses.

  4. Well I am guessing a dying fuel pump. Easiest way to diagnose is to turn the genny on and when it dies empty the float bowl. Should be enough fuel in it for you to gauge if it was full. I would order a spare pump just in case. They are cheap and easy to change

  5. The mini pit boss is the best I have used. I can smoke a tri tip or reverse sear a t bone. I have a 1500 watt inverter that runs it with no problems and it doesn’t seam to put much of a strain on the batteries.

  6. Went up to the Rim today to scout out the snow pack and a possible campsite for our trip in 2 weeks. I could not believe the amount of snow on the ground once we got to the Rim, there must have been 2+ feet still on the ground near forest lakes.

the gates to all the lakes were still closed and for good reason. We took the back road in from Heber and holy hell is snow a different beast when it comes to riding. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time, it was amazing seeing all the creeks and dry washes flowing and hopefully it means we can get a reprieve from the fire season.

  7. My regular group just bailed on Easter weekend and it was going to be my only trip this season.

looking for a group to crash with, have a X3 max and it will be my wife and our daughter and my two nephews. It was going to be the first time my nephews saw Glamis and they are pretty bummed.

we are chill but enjoy some ICDB’s in the evening. I am a part of the sun goes down and the keys go up….nothing good has ever happened for me at mother g once the sun goes down.

I have been going to glamis/Gordon’s for 30 years And know how to take care of my stuff.  If you have some space let me know.

  8. Having grown up on the “rim” I haven’t seen snow like this since I was a kid. Might be one of the best snow seasons they have had in 20+ years and lord knows they needed it.

went to fish black canyon lake last spring and it was nothing but a puddle. Was worried we might lose the lake if it was another dry winter.

btw great pics and it almost makes me miss our old long track. Every time my dad stuck that pig my brother and I were the luck hand shoveler to get it out.

First year I didn’t open a single present…. I’m at the point where watching  the wife and kids open gifts is my present. My birthday is in December so I did go back to my kid roots and get this

my wife laughed and called me a kid…. At 42 I still feel like one!!!

I have to remind my wife that I stopped maturing when I was 13.

  10. I love my pitboss. Best burgers I have ever made, sausage and peppers and damn near anything else. I will smoke steaks for 30-45 minutes on my pellet grill then finish them on the griddle. Wife swears they are better than any of the high end steak houses we go to.

  11. I originally joined in 02 or 03 and it was a very different place.

Honestly I miss the old school BS and chit talking. If you were here and active you had some thick skin cuz it was like glamis in some ways. A little lawless at times, kind of crazy after the sun goes down and summer was the equivalent of a holiday weekend. Short tempers and plenty of liquid courage flowing through those keyboard’s.

always has been a great community in my opinion.
