    The Harness is new... so with the full scan time and the IPR and replacement we are there... he wanted to do the fuel lines too , but I replaced them when I got the truck so they have like 40k miles on em....He's gonna look at them and see what they look like.

    Huh, not too sure. Never heard of that. I’ve  never had a CEL with a cps issue. Infact my ‘97 NEVER threw a code ever. even with fuel pump failure. Glad it was something simple.

    Yep, I haven't seen that anywhere either. The shop even sounded surprised by the truck starting.... We shall see I guess. 

  3. Well Update #1.... shop called.... the put the scanner to her, she had a CPS sensor code stored.....I had replaced it with the new "C" model  cps, so they cleared that code and cranked her and she started..... and kept starting...and won't die on them.???????? Good and bad I guess.....

    Do any of you know if a stored CPS code would have kept it from starting??? 

    They are going to keep it for a few and drive it and see if they can get it to die.... Just friggen weird.... 

  4. She started taking longer to start....then yesterday she started , ran about 5 seconds, then died, then 20 seconds, then 10, then she fired up with some throttle....ran ok  drove her down the block then into the driveway....idled for a minute or two, then died, now no start...

     

    turns over tach works,  fuel bowl is full, changed cps....pulled chip,   

     

    Anybody in the  Norco  IE area work on these still?   145k miles,  HPOP is an adreneline pump, IPR has like 20k miles on it. new harness under fuel bowl.    Who's the expert?
