See the problem is Athletics becomes bigger than the loser Admins at the school. They feel like they are losing control and they lash out and take out the people that are making things better. The sad truth is "most" agents don't understand the claims process. They generally make a mess of it.   

Agents don't handle claims, the claims people do.  Simply be calm and reasonable, ask them what they need, what do you need to provide to prove the value. 

Most are humans and don't react well to people being jerks. Be nice until it's time to not be nice. 

There are always options as a consumer.  

Lawyers are great for claims people, no more screaming customers....

Find out what the policy covers.... how much of the aftermarket stuff, is there a limit?  Ask them about if they have an appraisal clause in the policy? You hire one, they hire one, you split the mediation costs....find comparable vehicles. Ask for their appraisal.  Where did they get it? is it comps or dealer quotes.

Wife retired last year.....she's bummed that she hasn't been able to spend like she wanted too....she's adjusting to a "fixed" income. The only way I get out sooner is to sell and move... I don't really care if we do, but it's the only way to survive. We don't have a great retirement, so it will be tight for us. Medical is a killer for normal people until you hit 65.

1000 tax credit and 600 gas co rebate on the most efficient ones..  We got a Noritz ? I guess it depends on, what the use is...do you run out of hot water...is the power supply stable...no power with tankless..no hot water....although you can just plug into a generator. 

John you doing a tankless?  With rebates they are only a few hundred more than tanked heaters?  That plumbing is bad....somebody needs to use good flux.......
