  1. Agree with some here if it has a title it has been registered at one point.Guy probably never transferred to his name but as long as its signed off i wouldnt sweat it.Will be back fees though.

Now with an mso its just proof of ownership in a way but never in the dmv system that might be a little more work especially in ca.

Why everyone's rates are so reasonable.

Next the questions will be anyone know where to get low cost insurance. I have a good feeling rates will really skyrocket after this year.

I’m in az and insured my rail for street use since required my agent asked me is it atv or utv. I said well title says atv they asked if it’s steering wheel it’s utv handlebars we consider atv. I had to try and explain it’s not a sxs show pics etc. said it’s a dune buggy/sand rail. They said said they have had a lot of claims on sxs and more each year. I just said I don’t want their rates lol.

  3. Saw a bud on fb where the sxs that ended up in the water. It appeared to be right after it went into water but you could clearly see tracks coming straight down the dune into the water. Not lock up either but probably thought I’ll look cool if I drive through it. 🙈

but no worries I’m sure he’ll turn into insurance and be out again. No responsibility from a majority of new off roaders. I’m glad I skipped out too this weekend

  4. You may need to look into before buying a non resident tag.

If you live in a state that recognizes ca ohv tags and your state has ohv tags you do not need a non resident tag.

few years ago Utah started the non resident ohv tag no matter what. Az followed soon after. So if you are from a state who does not recognize ca registration or you are in a state that does not require an off road registration, tags, title etc then you need to buy the ca non resident tag.

  5. see quite a few here in az who open carry,The other day was at bass pro a construction worker wearing bright yellow shirt thought he was mexican cartel carrying his gun inside waist with just the handle sticking out in the open and no holster!Wont be surprised if he has a negligent discharge one day

I prefer to keep mine out of sight and do so.If camping or out in the forest ,desert i may open carry as its just easier but in town prefer concealed.

You live in California. So even if you know where your stolen car is going onto somebody's property to get it makes you the one who is in the wrong. Getting the police to help well that has as much of a chance of happening as a guy/ gal with a (R) next to their name getting elected for anything but dog catcher.

Lock your chit up, Make your chit just a little hard to steal then the guy next to you.

And if somebody does try to take your stuff make sure you give them a sandwich and a puppy before sending them on their way.

Friends car and truck were stolen. Car on a trailer from hotel lot. He had an air tag showed up on location he called lasd they wouldn’t do anything about it.

he went to where he saw it ping found the truck still no help he said he was getting it advised not to do so he got it anyways then called. They finally sent a deputy to take report. Car never found.

as for tracking I’d do a hidden gps tracker powered off a small alarm battery remote from main battery. I’d still tie it into cars electrical to keep it charged but when thief’s disconnect main power well then the gps would still get power.

I'll PM my address to you so I can look you straight in the face and ask why you didn't include neck protection, with that helmet.

Aggression in a forum doesn't scare me, but lack of common sense in the dunes surely will.

Some people  you just gotta sit back and ignore lol. This ain’t the only forum he’s went off on this topic I just look back laugh at a Karen sayin others are Karen while this guy is ranting off and complaining.

They can question all they want, but, they have the burden of proof. Unless the CHP has spent the time/effort to investigate me for a few months, they are going to have a hard time selling that to a judge.

I have a legitimate residence in AZ, and this is not a daily use vehicle. There is no law that says I cannot bring an out of state registered vehicle into CA for whatever reason I have.

I know of the potential consequences and headaches that can possibly come from this decision. Those are simply annoyances compared to the out of pocket cost for me to retain the CA registration fees.

You can only be a primary resident of one state whether you have homes in 2 states or just one.

if you claim az you get a lic there file your fed taxes, register to vote, live there 51 percent of time your good. Just owning a house there doesn’t make you a resident.

  10. Like said if you register out of state better have a driver license for that state. Chp gets you the fines will be more than you saved.

No you cannot say it stays out of state and you only brought car to ca for repair. They are onto this and will nail you knowing your skipping registration in ca.They will question registration out of state and the ca driver lic  known some who have been caught same deal register at their river house pulled over in ca

off road toys and boats it’s another story.

  11. We were in maui earlier this summer went to maui brewing and no servers take order atyour table you need to order from your phone or go up to a counter to order.Chose to go to counter and you enter order then pay there but they also had a tip jar.IMO this wasnt much different from ordering fast food IMO.

for servers who come take order bring food i tip them well, same goes for other services that usually have been tip type jobs.

  13. Was just there in June stayed in Kihei but went to Lahaina for a day. Gonna take years to recover.

as for the roads doesn’t take much to mess them up 2 lane and day we went to Lahaina there was a motorcycle accident which caused a 2 hr traffic jam which was normally a 25-30 min drive. Think it was only way In too as other side of island rd was closed I know rental cars were not allowed the long way.

  14. The stupidity of the riders is what brings the attention of the popo.Do stupid stuff it will get noticed and laws will come to stop the fun but a good number of kids have no clue about safety and think they are free to do what they want on the roads blocking traffic for fun on some streets or just cutting in front of you like no big deal.
