  1. For me, it’s a revolving money pit! Just when I think I’m out I get pulled right back in with new up and coming nieces and nephews!  This time I actually kept a couple so I don’t have to buy cars again when the yo yo comes back! This had me in the garage seeing what I have left and started some work. Right now I’m going through a carb clean on the Baja 5T. I also need to buy a couple new batteries and a charger for the Losi Super Baja Rey. No small cars left in the stable for me.

  2. My first RC was the Honda 250r. Next was the General Lee. Then for Christmas one year my dad bought me a Hornet. Then years later I got the RC-10. The best part about the last two were spending nights with my dad at the kitchen table putting them together. I got out of it as I got older. Then my son was old enough to get one so right back in we went! Still have a couple cars left but don’t use them much anymore.

I did! Map gas for 5 minutes, Socket, Big Ugga Dugga. Impact driver...All I got was 3 bolts out, Rounded 3 others and Nicked my FLywheel. Gonna try bolt extractor, more heat. If that fails, have a guy weld on some bolts I can actuallly grab.

Yes, weld nuts onto those bolts. The heat into the bolt from the weld should do it!

  4. My weekend warrior had the sagging wall issue. My insurance (AAA) tried to deny the claim as it was a known issue with weekend warrior. They then said it was due to a water leak and the insurance didn’t cover water leaks of any kind. I had them for insurance since I was 16 with no claims for over 15 years at the time. Well I had backed into a tree limb camping at Campland one time and it put a ding in the back roof cap. No real damage. The repair shop said the ding caused a slight water leak over time. So my insurance covered the repairs due to the ding. Just saying FWIW.

  5. Man I sure miss those days. Cab over campers and tents. A kid back then was the best! Riding doubles everywhere cause we could. Back when comp hill was huge! The infamous black streak across your shirt from pull starting your ride! Damn!

Seems like a no-brainer but that's chump change for a company like that. I would imagine Glamis side by sides only represent 10 20% of their business. They worry more about their image and reputation. If there was a smear campaign against them by the environmentalists and the Sierra Club, I could see them donating it to them or turning it into a preserve, or some other crazy shizZ. Who knows, could be a big nothing burger, but I think we've all learned to fear the worst and hope for the best.

You need to be looking at the big picture. The 6.8 million is chump change to Polaris. Maybe even the amount of SXS’s running through our dunes is minimal. Now big picture. The environmentalists and Sierra Club are trying to shut down all off roading. That’s dunes, open desert, trails, etc. How many SXS’s are there in lost revenue now? Not just Polaris, but CanAm and Yamaha, and Kawasaki, etc. The SXS market is ginormous now. Close the deserts and you lose billions of dollars. At least that’s how I see it.

  8. You guys want someone with deep pockets to fight to keep Glamis open don’t you? Well, It’s not just the $6.8 million that Polaris stands to lose if they close the desert down. Theres a lot of revenue in SXS’s that can be lost too. As much as a lot of GD members hate SXS’s, it’s those SXS’s that may just save our playground.

I have a guy like you. Boss should be able to see the stress from being overworked. I tell mine to take a week and come back fresh. We’ll figure it out

The boss should care but he doesn’t. A year ago I had a panic attack from all the stress. First time I ever had one and it was no joke. This happened on a Saturday trying to schedule and plan out the following weeks work. Mind you scheduling isn’t my job nor am I paid to do it. So I come into work on Monday and remove myself from a future job they scheduled for me without asking. This job was a weekend job not a regular work week job. My boss tells me I have no right to tell him what I’m gonna do and what I’m not gonna do. He says I hear you’re not feeling well and hope you get better but not an excuse to pull myself from work! Almost knocked him the “F” out!

  10. I’ve been dealing with work woes myself. Growing up I had a great job in construction for 14 years til the crash of 08’. Then I needed to find a new career. I ended up landing a job at my current company. I went from $28 - $20/hr. Started back over from the bottom. My current company is commercial HVAC so I was enrolled in the 5yr apprenticeship schooling at 40 years old. Man that sucked! Now I’m making pretty good money but I work too damn much! I’m one of the hardest workers in the company and have a hard time saying no so they just pile more and more on me. The last 2 years I’ve been drowning in work and asking for help but getting none. I try to move up but they won’t because they need me where I’m at busting my balls. So I dusted off the resume and gave it a good polishing! Started sending it out last week and had a bunch of hits. All positions are supervisor or managers positions so no more turning wrenches but a pay cut will follow. For me, it’s only $10-$15k a year cut so not as big. Got an interview Monday and hope I get it so my current Employer can feel the pain when I give my 2 weeks!
