I have one. There's many but mine follows a wristband tracker. Called staaker, it lacks what others have and strives in areas where others don't. The one that's peaked my interest lately is the skydio2 wondering how it would do out there. I have a staaker and yes this topic seems to show up once in a while.
Here's a couple of my videos in the dunes and on my channel I have one in Mission Bay. Still playing with it, yes, crashed to elevation changes that I will learn from. It will fly again though.
Skip to anywhere... on this one
This one has the crash, with a big gap in editing forward as you wish
Still messing with it, but having fun still. Good luck man! I too want those sick shots from the air.
I've been looking at the skydio2 as well, but from all the reviews, it seems to lose track a lot, and it stays too close, no way to back it off

Does anyone here have any actual experience with the drones on the market that are able to follow the operator? They all seem to advertise that that they are great, but then you look at reviews and they don't quite work right. Seems like the dunes while wide open, would create problems due to the speeds and elevation changes

Why not just do it because you're going to be in the area anyway? Just curious. My Southern hospitality would not let me charge somebody for stopping someplace I was going to be near anyway. Just me, ymmv.
He must be new, but yeah, glamis dunes postal unwritten rule is that its always just a courtesy.

To add, dont do it your self.
It is a buy once cry once deal.. If you don't do it 100% correct you will regret it and only have yourself to blame when you have to pay more to have it done right.
It takes a lot of expensive equipment and experience to do them right. Not saying it can't be done, but by the time you buy good materials, rent equipment and study what to do, someone can turn it over in 2 days and your done..
I appreciate the info. I didn't get a detailed quote, just a ballpark figure. Gotta get my buggy back together and rollable before I do anything with the floor.

Looking to coat my rv garage floor (approx 14'x40'). Had a company quote me $3000. Has anyone done their own floor and what product did you use? Would you do it again? Pics?

Didn't they restart the numbers every year?

It was so much better on the old old board when the video didn't pop up and you could change the name of the link. Only the quick would notice at the bottom where it told you where it was redirecting you. Mellon had a long run of not clicking on that link, Until I posted in the towing ghost campers on gecko right now. I got him on that one, he clicked so fast he forgot to look at the bottom of the screen. Good Times
@Stugots when are signatures going to return? I now your busy with getting everything back up and running so I will give you an little bit of a break before I start demanding a refund of my premium membership. I still send the check to Esco right?

Sand food!

I've been duning for 30 years and have never seen sand food. We were riding the 70s on the berm track and saw some on the way back to gecko. There was one in the middle of the trail (that caught my eye) and then clusters of it just off the trail. Rare and cool!
