I have a buddy who likes to be ride right behind me - I'm always worried he's going to slam into me.  I don't know why he and others like to be so close - to me it takes the fun out of driving...I'd rather watch the leader and pick slightly new lines if needed, plus no need to eat each other's sand....but to each their own - glad everyone is OK.

Why do people who like to drive so close to each other enjoy it? I'm curious to know the reasoning. Makes it more like you're racing?

i got that same friend but he has a excuse he is actually going blind and cant see any detail so he just follows close. on the quad he has ran into me quite a few times it actually makes it the rides a little more exciting trying to pull lines with out anything i have to check up on never want to hit the brakes

  3. as this is 100% not your fault and the liability should be on the repair shop i would talk to your agent about that and at least get your deductible back from them. you may be able just file the claim against their garage keepers policy rather than going thru your insurance. i had got bad diesel from a gas station and it wiped out the fuel system the dealer would not fix under warranty 26k in repairs i got in touch with the gas stations insurance the paid the claim no problem might be worth a try not using your insurance.

  4. i would find 3 compliable machines and send them to your adjuster explaining the add on mods made your machine more valuable than what they have offered also look at your policy to see if  it covers accessories  and go from there. if you don't get anywhere maybe hire a public adjuster or contact a lawyer

  5. there are many trails on the other side of the tracks alot of them are marked. we take rides to the gold mines, palo verde mountain, alot of different washes to run also the bradshaw trail Colorado river, gold rock ranch museum, herds of wild donkeys up by palo verde. I have ridden thousands of miles on that side a lot of cool stuff to explore. i think the site i got all the maps from was californiatrailmaps.com. when leaving g to goto the other side there is a gard rail from wash road to the tracks about 50ft. i think it was up by wash 14 or so there is only one set of tracks have found a good spot and we just jump over them easy jump 2nd gear and send it on a quad or bike. it is easy to get stuck on the rails if you try to drive over them have to hit them on a 45 angle so only one tire is going over at a time. for a while last year wash 8 was dug out but it got blocked off. also check their hours or call before going the are not open everyday.  from ogliby its easy cross the tracks stay on the right side of ogliby for a while take the trails to gold rock ranch then there are other trails from there that will take you into the back of boardmanville follow his fence around to the front. go on google maps and you can see the trails good luck.     edited put the dirt tires on

  6. i would of pulled him out if the belt wasn't coming soon. also would rather pull with the rzr than my buggy just because the rzr in 4wd pulls real good has no problem getting going on a up hill with stu paddles on the back and half paddle on the front stu tributes and even if it gets bogged down would never be a problem backing out of something. the buggy doesn't steer when its pulling and the rzr in 4wd pulling still turns on a dime. good of you to stop and try to help. eddited to say if you in a sxs and don't have a spare belt with you i don't feel bad for you

  8. good and bad its good because polaris is commiting to the dunes and more than likely fight anything that threatens closing riding opportunities and land there. they also have deep pockets and the resources to put up a fight its also nice to see a manufacturer spending money to improve the area. the bad is that the are adding a target on glamis for the eco natzies. also sounds like the will be putting up a few buildings what will happen to the current store

  9. from my understanding its a non resident off road registration offered to people that can not get registration in thier home state so you should be good. the beach store and a few of the vendors sell them 30 ea.    http://www.ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=25669   https://ohv.parks.ca.gov/pages/1234/files/OHV Information Bulletin State Reciprocity AB 232.pdf ;ooks ;ike you need a sticker montana is on the list on the second page of the second link

  10. back then they did have problems with the fuel pick up in the tank there is 2 small filters in the pickup also they had lining in the tank that would deteriorate. The filter is  not available from ford but the are available international 4300 series with a vt365 the filter screen that is located near the power steering pump. you can pull the plug out of your canister fuel filter up top and put a fuel pressure gauge with a long line and watch the fuel pressure while your driving  think its supposed to be around 60psi. normally if the filters get clogged it will start and run and will start to loose power progressively getting worse until it stalls and you will see the fuel pressure dropping off if you wait a while some of the dirt falls away from the filter and it will run again. the cam sensors were a big problem but the tach will not work with a bad cam sensor. i've also seen the fuel heater in the fuel filter go bad and steal power from the fuel pump on the frame usually blows the fuse    btw not all trucks had the pickup in the tank im thinking of but if you look the part image up you be able to tell if it the one with screens

  11. current value 950 18400 tax and my rental about 8000, what kills me they have been reassessing the homes every other year and valuing them at market or above. i believe there is a cap at 2 percent so the are over valuing the property so they can collect more

  12. our government is broken while the are selling all the materials on richie bros. auction that were bought during trump they are going to buy more stuff to build a wall in texas. just a waste. anyone to build their own wall https://www.govplanet.com/for-sale/Construction-Materials-(162)-Nucor-Tubular-28'-x-6"-x-6"-A500-Grade-B(C)-Square-Structural-Tubes-Arizona/10245356?h=5000%2Cq|6x6+tube&rr=0.5&hitprm=&pnLink=yes

  13. we had super storm sandy here about 12 yrs ago. a lot of trees down everywhere no power for 3 weeks couldnt get gas for generators because the gas stations either had no gas or no power two weeks before the supermarkets and commercial areas got power back. the refinery in newark was flooded so all the fuel was coming in from Philadelphia. the storm surge was crazy wiped out thousands of homes. but the craziest thing was when the eye of the storm came over the change in pressure caused a friend that is epileptic started having seizure's went to the hospital and there were 50 or so other people there having the same problem.
