First and foremost, thank you Rob for keeping the spirit with Glamisdunes.com. I know it always hasn't been easy and there have been changes and challenge along the way. Thank you for keeping anything GD.com related as open as possible and allowing people to share their voice
First and foremost thank you Rob and the GD. Com crew for all you do to keep this site alive and well. I think this site rocks all other social media sites this is my go to site I only do this site and MeWe all the others can go pound sand. You guys rock.
Thanks Mac for starting this thread

So everyone has given some good info.
We mostly dune in the Coos Bay part of the dunes the best access is Box Car Hill campground they are right at the sand and have full hookups and elec and water only or the forest service camp ground Horsefalls as already mentioned. My preference is Riley Ranch a Coos county campground not the best access but a nice area has water and electricity no sewer also the Oregon Dunes KOA full hook ups and both KOA and Riley are building additional sites now just not sure time frame for them. For Winchester Bay like has been said is small but we dune there also Douglas County now has all the campgrounds that I would consider off-road friendly unless you sand camp that is USFS. Reservations are a must everywhere.I forgot about The Myrtle Wood Factory at Hauser pavement no hookups but is usually easier to get sites on shorter notice we will be there the weekend of the 9 of July for my oldest granddaughter’s boyfriend’s birthday party.
If you need any phone numbers or come up with any questions please feel free to PM me and I will give you my phone number and we can talk about the different areas.
Also we run our sand car here with no problem it just won’t be like Glamis or St Anthony and we have a sxs that helps cause all those damn chatter bumps.
If I can help you out in anyway let me know always enjoy helping out fellow duners

Wow so glad it turned out that he was found and in okay shape that is so scary, we were out riding with our young grandchildren this week end and when I saw this post it really made me think about the possibilities of one of them getting out of site and lost. Hopefully the family reconsiders boundaries, it can happen so easy. But the happy ending is awesome.

Well plans changed for us we left Sunday headed to lake Mead for the week got as far as Sparks and my stomach issues decided to kick into overdrive so went back home Monday two days of doctors appointments and test some new meds and we are in central Oregon tonight, camped in the pine trees. Youngest son and his family are coming over from Sandy Saturday so the grandkids can ride their new bigger dirt bikes so we will be helping them learn the ins and outs of a clutch and sifting they are moving up from fully auto should be a fun weekend.
Be safe everyone and enjoy what ever you do. Please take a moment and remember those who gave it all for our freedom that is the reason for Memorial Day

Loading up the Moho and getting Jeep ready to hookup and head towards Lake Mead in the morning. Granddaughter had a bridal shower this afternoon that Grandma had to go to or we would have been gone today. We will head towards home next Sunday and then back to work Tuesday. You all have a safe week and holiday next weekend cheers.

I use to do FB for the family and friends but it got to be way to much drama and the targeted adds I hate and the censorship was getting unreal so about 6 months ago I axed it, I still have IG but seldom use it. After FB I switched to MeWe still getting family and friends to move there and they have groups I follow including some from FB, But my favorite is still right here on GD.Com I spend way to much time lurking around this site. But this site is a great resource and has great members so it will always be my favorite.

Was rooting for Sexton on that last SX race. Webb sure does well under pressure
I thought it would have been awesome if Sexton could have pulled off that win but you have to give Webb credit he is fast and smart
Any onewheelers on here?

I have a friend who is a dealer here in Southern Oregon and the ones he rides seem to go up a decent grade on the asphalt and hard pack. He rides them in and out of camp with no problems. I haven't been brave enough to try it yet but have sure been contemplating it. But at 67 I do not heal as fast as I use to lol.
