Yeah just remember you have no idea what they are putting in your engine at a shop. If you can’t trust them, don’t take it to them. I knew a guy that had contracts for fleet maintenance and he used implement oil because it was so much cheaper.

I’m back to doing my own oil changes.  I’m about 85% sure they didn’t even change the oil.  Perhaps 95% sure.

Didn't you have allot of service problems with this dealership - I might be wrong, was thread on old GD Server (RIP 2021).

If that was you, is it possible the Lien has something to do with all that Service Department drama?

    :dunno:

Yea, the can’t even preform an oil change.  My wife’s SUV seized up doing 60 on the freeway take it my kids to school because they neglected to put oil back in it ....and this truck, the one with the lien, went completely dead in the Nevada desert because they neglected to reconnect one of the batteries and left the battery cover bouncing around the engine compartment.... next oil change I did myself and I’m about 95% sure they didn’t even change the oil because what came out was black as ink and even stained my fingers.  I’ve done many oil changes and never seen anything like that.

I would think a trip to the DMV with proof you paid cash may work, but I wouldn't have high hopes. A trip to the dealership and a conversation with the Finance Department's manager should solve your problems, or at least put you on the right track.

Nope, we have had several conversations with credit department and they pawn it off on my credit union..... who has nothing to do with it.  As I said, riverside Chevrolet just DGAF.  I honestly don’t think they would piss on me if I was on fire and they really had to pee bad at the time.

I don’t have time to go to the DMV, I’m thinking I should hire a lawyer.

Take a copy of the registration & purchase contract to the credit union and get a release of lien. If should be pretty easy to clear up. The purchase contract will show you paid cash for it.

Credit union wrote a letter stating they have no idea why there is a lien. Because they don’t but they can’t do a lien release because they never recorded one in the first place.

  5. About a year ago I purchased a new 2500 Z71 diesel from a Chevy dealership in riverside.  A few months ago, when I sold my banshee, I noticed that I didn’t have the title to that truck. After some investigation I found that the dealership filed a lien in the name of the my credit union for some unexplained reason.  I contacted the credit union and they know nothing about it.... mostly because I paid cash for the truck.  I contacted the dealership several times and they just DGAF so what the hell can I do?

  6. I’m installing cameras and electrical for a company that does industrial concrete floor coatings.  They don’t do residential but the owner offered to do my garage for a reasonable donation to an orphanage he sponsors.  tempting but I think I’d have to pull up my empty gun safes. I can tell you this, seeing the equipment and polymers they use, to have it done correctly is expensive.

  7. I just have one sand car and a toy hauler... I may buy my old LT250 back for getting around but that’s all the toys I have time to maintain.

I also grow coral as a hobby but I limit myself to just one tank, I’d rather have one impeccably maintained tank than a slew of mediocre ones.

Guns on the other hand only require annual oiling and cleaning once used.  There is no regular work and they seldom break.  Unfortunately I lost all my guns in a series tragic of boating mishaps one day.  I still have some safes and no more reloading components than local regulations allow me to store but the guns are all in a watery grave somewhere 😞
