HOGIE SHINES- did the truck I just purchased and does amazing work

Idaho was awesome! We went to pink coral sand dunes for 1 night and then went to salt lake city for 2 nights at the koa (super nice if you want somewhere to break the trip up!) and then made it to idaho sunday through thursday night. Drove straight home thursday night and made it home before lunch time on friday! here is one clip of a jump we found while riding- WE WILL BE GOING BACK!

Lets try and get together we have 5 rzrs and an rs1 and canned ham!

Hey Everyone,

My group is making our first trip up to idaho dunes rv next week and I have some questions.

How is the cell service up there? We have some college kids that need internet to complete their work.

Any places to eat that you all would recommend?

instead of just duning any trail rides we should do? maybe even ride to jackson hole?

Im sure ill have more questions as I think of them.

I now have 11 rotary lifts and 4 of those were just installed this week- the others have been in commercial use since 2007 and besides one motor and a couple cable replacements no issues and I have been very happy. When my home shop is completed I will be ordering a rotary.

John- shoot me a pm if you want. I own an automotive repair shop in az and my hourly rate is 167.96- for extended warranties and customer supplied parts I have other labor rates as well. In cali your low and for what you do and the quality I have seen I would def raise your rates (for everyone not gd members lol I just had to say this so I didnt get booted from GD lol)

In Carlsbad today and leaving tomorrow to Phoenix. Have a 16ft flatbed empty and the bed of my f250 (have a fifth wheel hitch installed) and tonneau cover that is foldable. I went looking at fords yesterday…. Because my truck is back in the shop again…. And I might have bought one if there were any.  You can get the 150’s but there are no diesels ok a few but no 4X4 and absolutely nothing without a miniature bed.  It’s so bad that I got an enterprise rental truck yesterday and it still has the auction numbers on the windshield.  I should take a photo.  

 

 

 

Now that I have learned how to get around town in it, I am starting to love my long bed… except…

It’s in the shop again.  Apparently the particulate filter died $3k at the dealer, they are covering it for me but said it’s a 1-2 day  job.  I don’t understand that.  Isn’t it just six bolts on two flanges or cut cut weld weld? 

Damn!!! glad its covered and yeah depending on the dealer the alotment is low- my friends lucked out they went to a dealer here in az and were going to look for a truck for their daughter to tow her toy hauler (had to be lariat black on black on black) and as they pulled up to look at the truck an auto transporter pulled in and had two f450 platinums on the trailer 1 vin number apart- they ended up walking out with 3 trucks that day cause the dealer had them instock and the 450s came in cheaper then the 350s cause alot of people still dont know about the commercial plates and stuff....

the chevy dealer I buy parts from for my automotive repair business offered 10k more then I paid for my truck and it has 44k miles on it- im trying not to give in and order a new superduty again.....

yesterday the check engine lite came on and i got a message from onstar saying I needed my emissions system fixed… at 23,000 miles.  

 

Those morons at riverside Chevrolet could fvck up a wet dream. 

 

 

I think I’m going to buy a ford

I think all trucks have their problems but I will say after buying my first ford in 2014 and having since purchasing 2 more trucks I dont think I will go back to another brand unless something drastic changes.
