This article has a lot more info. Looks like gasoline is exempt, as well as out of state motorhomes.
I will be sure to leave my fair share of diesel smoke when I visit the dunes. Fawk CARB.

That Corvette IRS gets rid of your short drive shaft issue. I really like this idea. I think you NEED to make this happen!

That would be awesome. Changes everything if it can be done. So I assume the motor and trans have to be mounted a little higher for the driveshaft to come back underneath. Some pics of his setup would be awesome.
The drive shaft is offset to the side which is why the diff will end up not centered on the rear end. The V drive will handle the power no problem. Colorado sand Cars does a truck called the V3 that uses that system. Look at the link below as well as the 3 or for pictures after it using the right arrow on the pic.

You could put the motor way back and have a Turbo 400 pointed toward the front going into a V drive. Offset the diff to the side of the rear axle and have a nice long drive shaft. I would do that before dealing with a S4 and CV's.

I am in East Mesa off Mc Dowell East of Las Sendas in the county island. Absolutely love it out here. If you are into shooting competition, Rio Salado Sportsman's club is right up the street 5 minutes. Only down side to East Valley is it is farther from Glamis.

That looks like something the Babylon Bee would put out. Lol, you gotta love CA.

I wonder what the range of the "150 mile" battery pack would be in the sand riding hard? 25 to 40 miles?

Great deal!

What do those bolt in frames run?

Lol. High capacity propane cylinders will be next.
Amusingly, of all the garbage we throw away, steel is generally the least offensive trash we make…
Yup, nobody needs that much propane.

Just sounds like you're poo-pooing it like LRS. I use refillable, I haven't used them in years...
Similar to fudds when an ammo ban comes up and people say: I reload, I stocked up in 1927, I don't shoot that caliber, etc.
I do use them where it makes sense, but running a camp stove with them is not the most cost effective way to go. Yay Capitalism. I left CA due to this sort of stupidity. Would never go back if the dunes were not there.

Ca, where the stupid hurts. I guess plumbers will have to drag a 5er with a hose to sweat pipes. Either that, or get it from adjacent states. My sister in CA had to send a plumbing fixture to me in AZ so I could send it to her. Effing fixture was sent to me from CA in the first place. I guess they do not care if AZ runs out of water?

You know 5 gal, 15 gal, home use is next.
Not sure where you got that quote from what I said???

They are tough to beat for a portable propane torch. Other than that, I use the refillable ones.

So...I've played with my fair share of crazy. I'd have to see pictures. Some are worth it for a while, others are not.
I'll put up with a lot to play with a hot chick for a while...Even go below the 4 crazy line? Asking for a friend.

Damn that looks clean. My cheap lazy azz would have bought an Al Knoch kit and called it a day. Next level for sure.

Another vote for PCI, the sound quality in the headsets is the best. I was going to buy an intercom and radio when I was in the dunes. They fixed my radio while there (it had not worked since I bought the car used) and gave me a deal on the intercom and headsets.

Was that carbon fiber UTT one hand built with all billet parts and TIG welded?
