  1. "GlazzKraft X3 Max Body Kit mold created on this car, the very first ever done and custom molded for this ride,
New 2019 engine with 2020 RR turbo,

    SDR Shorty Cage

KATG custom aluminum body, hood, and highly custom rear trunk"

Wait, what??  Is it a GlazzKraft custom molded body kit OR KATG custom aluminum body???  Either way, it still looks like a CanAm.

Are you stopping in Ketchikan? What day? I’m heading back up there the 29th. Happy to make suggestions/recommendations. I’m there all the time and used to live there. Could even be talked in to taking you out to try to find a fish or two or see some whales if by chance the days lined up right.

FIL wants to do a fishing trip in Ketchikan.  Any suggestions/tips for first timers?

Small pet peeve of mine.............. the "universal fit" flex hose for the top of the radiator...  I HATE this.

Agreed.  Reminds me of a generic, temporary fix part.  Like Alumaseal or exhaust tape.

    Little tech talk.

The old 3.0 platform used a crankshaft driven oil pump.

The new 3.6 platform uses a cam driven oil pump.

Due to the cam speed difference, Subaru went way up in pump size.

    Check out the difference.

What's the reason for and benefit of the change?  (crank driven vs cam driven)

I think the best tax strategy is to tell the IRS you are an illegal alien and they will give you an ITIN. Then when you fill out your taxes, you get to claim up to 25 dependents who may or may not exist. You don't have to prove they exist because they live south of the border. They give you a deduction of $2,000 per dependent, so even if the alien paid no taxes, he automatically gets a $50,000 refund per yr per tax return.

Of course you can file multiple tax returns and have them all mailed to the same address, tons of people do it every yr. So far, the IRS puts no effort into trying to stop illegal aliens from getting taxpayer refunds, so it's a very safe strategy.

This isn't a 'tax strategy' it's tax fraud...

Today, multiple factors are raising oil prices. There are three key elements:

    • Oil demand has grown more rapidly than expected in recent months as countries emerged from pandemic lockdowns.

    • OPEC+, a loose partnership between OPEC and Russia, has not raised production at a commensurate level, and neither have U.S. shale oil companies.

    • Countries have drawn on stocks of oil and fuel to fill the supply gap, reducing this emergency cushion to low levels.

These developments have made oil traders worry about looming scarcity. In response, they have bid oil prices up. It’s worth noting that while consumers often blame oil companies (and politicians) for high oil prices, these prices are set by commodity traders in venues such as the New York, London and Singapore stock exchanges.

Global gas prices appear to be only affecting the US. If there was a global shortage, prices would be up worldwide, but the US is 53rd worldwide in gas prices, meaning 52 countries have lower prices per gal as of March 7. This includes a couple of small islands in the Bahamas that have to bring in all of their gas from other islands by ship. That's pathetic. Gas in Venezuela is 9.5 cents/gal and in Russia they're paying $1.41/gal for 92 octane, which is the lowest octane they sell.

So the next time you're at the pump wondering why we're paying $5/gal for crappy 87 octane (and the dirtiest diesel fuel in the world) you can thank our gov't and the oil lobbyists who help the oil companies still get subsidies totaling $5.9 Trillion in 2020 while gouging the living crap out of the US public.

How is it that while Russia is getting sanctioned to death, they're still only paying $1.41/gal.?

Directly from the website link above.

Gasoline prices, Octane-95, 07-Mar-2022: The average price of gasoline around the world is 4.90 U.S. Dollar per us gallon. However, there is substantial difference in these prices among countries. As a general rule, richer countries have higher prices while poorer countries and the countries that produce and export oil have significantly lower prices. One notable exception is the U.S. which is an economically advanced country but has low gas prices. The differences in prices across countries are due to the various taxes and subsidies for gasoline. All countries have access to the same petroleum prices of international markets but then decide to impose different taxes. As a result, the retail price of gasoline is different. Use the drop menu to see the prices in gallons.

  8. How do you special order a vehicle?  Is it the same as building one online, through the mfg website or an actual sheet @ the dealership?

Dodge is currently offering a 'jailbreak' order option on the Challenger.  However, when trying 'build' a Ram online, I can't get exactly what I want without having to +/- a package to get a particular option.  Is that what we're talking about here?

Post anything cool in regard to drag racing here. My favorite is Big Daddy. Here he is hanging out in his shop.  https://fb.watch/bvHNV7bLPz/   Great book about him during the golden era of drag racing.

Big Daddy (Don) Garlits was my introduction to drag racing as a kid. First time to a drag strip I saw him race and got a huge Pro Winter Nationals poster of the pic below autographed by the man.  😁

Yeah, they were complete suckers for believing the assurances of Russia, U.K. and U.S.A.  Everyone knows you can't trust big government.  Treaties are meant to be broken!  Am I right??  🤡
