  1. I use a Hario v60 pourover coffee maker with a gooseneck kettle. Set the water temp to 195, 20 grams of coffee and 360 grams of water. I usually get beans from local roasters. Freshly roasted coffee is generally way better with a much more complex flavor than what you’d find in the grocery store. It’s kind of complicated but I enjoy the process of it. The beans can be kind of pricey but it’s still way cheaper than stopping at Starbucks every day.

Now, that is thinking! Seems that the more rope pulled, the faster it pulls. Have you ever tried it on a bike, skateboard, parasailing, etc?  JK.

We did try it with a skateboard on the first test run and it was absolutely terrifying. It had a torque converter, kind of like the centrifugal clutch belt system the sxs have. If you weren’t careful with the throttle it’d rip the rope right out of your hands

  3. My buddy and I built this wakeboarding winch when we were freshman’s in highschool, we wanted something to do when the waves were flat. I think we got 6 people to pitch in 50 bucks so we could afford to build it. Had no idea what I was doing but my dad gave me free reign of the welder and anything else In the garage. None of us drove at the time so we made the frame able to be towed behind a bike, it was stupid heavy. It has 1200’ of rope and pulls pretty dang fast. The video is of my buddy who helped build it. Highly recommend this project it’s a blast and the cops usually only stop you because they think it’s rad

  4. When I was in college I biked to school every day, sometimes 3 times a day depending on the class spacing. The house I was staying in was pretty close but the majority of the ride was up a steep hill that kicked my ass every time. Every Monday and Wednesday this dude on a one wheel would fly past me up the hill, those things look like they have serious torque. I hated that guy

  5. The Avengers by Rich Cohen. It’s about the Jewish resistance in Eastern Europe during the Holocaust. Probably the best book I’ve read. Gives a completely different perspective on the situation.

  6. For context I’m 23, so I’ve grown up with social media and theres is really no way around it unless you want to be the odd one out. I stopped using Facebook several years ago, Just wasn’t much of a fan of the platform and what it’s become. Instagram is my go to as it’s more so photos and videos rather than people rambling on about the daily nuance of life. I follow mainly my close friends, off road accounts, boating accounts and engineering accounts so the stuff i see is tailored to the things I like for the most part. I had tik tok for a while but I found it to be a big time sucker so I got rid of it. The engineers at tik tok really know what they’re doing, the algorithms are very quick to show you what you want to see and that’s why basically everyone under the age of 25 is hooked. For the most part I find the less social media the better but GD.com is my favorite followed up by Instagram.
