  1. It’s not just cars. I’ve been trying to buy several thing and rarely ever get people that respond to my questions. Then also there is the frustration of selling. I have several things listed and get nothing but “is this still available” and when I reply yes, never get another message. Marketplace is almost worthless and it’s the only reason I have Facebook.

@Dzrtrat1111 didn't you just put this together? Why did you sell it? I jsut finished my newer setup using the Garmin R10. I really enjoy being able to go hit balls whenever I want. I am using the E6 software. It only has 5 free courses. Software might be my next upgrade.

That was a great price, I am sure it sold quick. Hope ChEFF bought it :)

I got rid of it because of a back injury that is likely going to require surgery. I only had it set up for about a year.

  4. Several months ago, CHP had their volunteers drive through neighborhoods near the 5 freeway (maybe other freeways too) looking for out of state plates. Several people I know got letters from the state to register in CA. No possible way to enforce it though if they have no proof of another out of state residence unless you get pulled over several times.

Skytrack seems very nice. If I had the room to build a proper simulator I would of looked into that model. How much room did you need for your setup? Where do you live?

All in, the area is about 12x15 and  I have a steel building shop at my house and it’s in the corner. I am in Fallbrook.

  6. I have a lot to say about e-bikes but I’ll keep it short-ish. As active LE and currently an accident investigator (major injury and fatal) my work load has exponentially increased with the surge in e-bikes. However, I’m not against them and have one.

The number one problem is parents, they don’t teach rules of the road.

class 2 is the most common, no license required and only need a helmet under 18.

class 3, you must be at least 16 and helmet required regardless of age

Sur Ron - not street legal and not a bicycle per the law. Can be made street legal with correct equipment but requires registration. These riders run all the time when stopped. When they do stop, we can cite for unregistered vehicle, no insurance, no MC endorsement and can and do impound.

Biggest challenge for LE is most kids ridding are young and case law doesn’t allow a ticket for kids under 14.

My city passed a municipal code last year specifically for e-bikes. When cited, it allows for kids to take a FREE online safety course instead of a fine. MOST PARENTS pay the fine because they think it’s unfair to force their kids to take the class.

  7. I have Starlink at my house in Rural Fallbrook. I have the portability option on my plan and take it everywhere we travel in the RV. I bought an extra cable to use in the Rv  so all I have to bring is the dish and modem. Setup takes less than 5 min. My last trip to G I was staying in the washes and averaged 250 mb/s.

Also… no need to route the cable inside the coach. I keep my modem in the storage compartment and don’t loose any speed or signal.

Incredible, congrats!  Never holed it for me and at this point almost hope I never do... play every Thursday with a group, this week we have 48 people at Cross Creek... would be a very expensive 19th hole for me and it's just not worth it

Cross Creek is where I got the hole in one.

  9. Par for the course in California. I just finished a case where a chit bag was running from the cops on a Harley will intoxicated, with his girl on the back. Hit and killed a 65 yr old on a bicycle, seriously injured himself and his girl. Charged him with gross veh manslaughter and 3 other felonies. DA just pled him out to felony evading with gross bodily injury and only gave him 4 years.

  10. I’ve been golfing off and on for 25years or so but today it finally happened. I was playing in a 2 man best ball tournament and on the 12th hole (par 3, 120 yrd) I made my first hole in one!  3 friends in my group and the 4-some ahead of us saw it too. I’ve been very very close hundreds of times to an ace but to finally do it was an awesome experience.

I shot an individual score of 81 for the round and my 2 man team score was 75.

No video of the shot, only after. A friend who is decent with editing made me a funny video.

  11. I had a Toro gas weed whacker and loved it but got tired of mixing gas and cleaning the carb since it only gets used a few times a year.

I just bought a Dewalt weed whacker. It is the 14” and it’s foldable. The 14” has better reviews than the 17” ( more durable head unit). It has a high and low power setting. Low setting chews through just about anything and gives about 25min of straight runtime.  Check Acme tools, they usually have the best prices and it’s on sale now and includes a 5 amp/hr battery and charger.
