Took off his training wheels in July.  We live on a rolling hills area so he's been riding his push bike since he was 3.

I've been teaching him how to bomb the hills for the past few weeks and today we decided to change course and go down from the paved driveway and transition to the creek (dry) area and up the next hill.

So, we start bombing down the hill and he executes brake control perfectly to maintain control and make it back up the other side of the hill.  HOWEVER, he does it without his helmet.  I completely forgot he wasn't wearing his helmet!

I tell him "Bruh, mommy is going to be mad at us for you not wearing your helmet when she sees the home video recording!"

He responds, "Can you delete it dad?!"

Me: "I don't think I can.  She's probably watching now."

Him: "Ok, we'll deal with consequences." (I've been teaching him about actions = consequences for several weeks now).

Me: "Bruh, I don't want to deal with mommy's consequences."

Him: *shakes his head* and proceeds with "Dad, remember you told me that snitches get stitches."

Me: "Thanks for reminding me son."

5's like the perfect age, if you could keep them there forever it would be great lol

did she say you've been a BAD BAD Boy, come see mommy

All my buddy's have figured out ways to retire early, only way to survive anymore is to get on special assignments....being on the street every day is terrible way to work.

okc pd has a huge shortage. my buddy is a recruiter trainer. he said they are so short, desk jobs are becoming off the street hires, no leo needed, so the ones that have stuck it out to move into a desk job to retire are leaving since the jobs are going civilian. its a S show.

i think he said we are like 300 short right now

  3. drove to the last game of my life, watching my son. We literally played the best game of their season and probably 2, team they played was 9-1 and has won 13 national titles. we were 5-6 going in. Defense was unbelievable, and offense played well, but we had 6 turnovers which equals a loss of 20-10, t was 17-10 until the last couple minutes and their kicker who had shanked every fieldgoal attempt finally got one lol.

Couldnt be more happy with a loss (as odd as that sounds), but it was a very emotional game, since its his last. Hes ready for a rest, hes been beat up all season, so he gets to rest up some. His girlfriend and her parents came, and they have a good friend whose son plays on the other team. He told him mom, we watched alot of film on her boyfriend, he's the real deal, legit probably the best center in the conference for sure! so that made me an even more proud dad. After the game the 2 met and talked, seemed like a good kid. They battled it out a couple times and I think the kid got all he wanted lol.

He came up afterwards and hugged his mom, of course shes bawling like crazy and he's/we are laughing about it, then he comes to hug me, says thanks for everything you did for me and thanks for the email you sent me this morning before the game. Then i became a mess lol.

But here's a pic of his last walk off the field forever. 77 is out!

  4. senior day yesterday at my son's school, 2nd to the last game of his life. I thought I would break down during the seniors ceremony but I held it together.

Next saturday we play the #2 team in our division, they are now 9 and 1, sadly we are 5 and 5, but we won yesterday and the team we play next week lost to a team

we lost to by 3 and same score as when we played that school. so we have a chance, depends on who shows up to play.

The last game has to be tough, I'll never be able to see him compete again, except compete in life!

The store is in hick-town in Fraiser Park... right next to a mobile home park....hopefully it's one of those people...

holy cow i haven't heard that town in years. My father in law lived there for many years. One time we went to visit and went to that store and bought 100.00 worth of scratchers and won 1.00 lol. good for them

Well, that dreaded call...well the IPR wasn't the problem.... so it died, they swapped out a pcm and it runs..... put the old pcm back in and dead again...so now it's pcm time.

pcm is on the driver side kick panel and are prone to water intrusion from the windshield, so when you get the new pcm you might have your windshield gasket replaced also.

I think they were real live scanning it because he said they saw the IPR problem when it started acting up... so hopefully...she's good for another 150k.

i went with the strictly diesel full race fuel set up, man what a nice kit, pricey but it was really easy to do and had every part you need.

Well Update #1.... shop called.... the put the scanner to her, she had a CPS sensor code stored.....I had replaced it with the new "C" model  cps, so they cleared that code and cranked her and she started..... and kept starting...and won't die on them.???????? Good and bad I guess.....

Do any of you know if a stored CPS code would have kept it from starting???

They are going to keep it for a few and drive it and see if they can get it to die.... Just friggen weird....

when i had the code on my 96 the cps went out, put in a new one and it fired right up, code still in for months until I remembered to clear it.

if they touched the cps at all it may have a chafed wire on the harness
