My mom lives with my brother and his wife in Upland.

I drove up there and picked her up and took her back to our house.

My wife and I and Mom spent the whole day in our patio, some wine, some tunes, watching the hummingbirds buzz around us and chatted up the day with her.

I BBQ'd some salmon and veggies, Cheryl tried a new recipe for Potato's that was a total hit, a little more wine, and just soaked it all in!

    Was a great day.

  3. When I asked what I could do to make this weekend special she asked if I could help weed her garden and plant tomato plants.  It wasn’t tops in my list but I did. Great conversation though. Went to the Yard house for dinner. Saw Planet of the Apes. ( that was my idea)

happiness is making her breakfast in bed with more than 50% of ingredients coming from your property. The eggs, oranges, asparagus, spinach was from home

Starting the day with equipment delivered to the house. Going to do an asphalt driveway all the way down to the barn. 16' wide x 250' long. $12,500.00 Hope that's a good price. These guys act like swindlers. Started at $16k. Settled at $12.5k This guy says.........."Watch me work. I'll do you a great job boss" Everyone calls me boss these days. You can call me Da chEFF! Peace

Sounds like a great price!  Me and 5 neighbors did 500 feet and a culdesac and it was $55k

  5. Well doing a water pump and oil filter housing reseal on the wife’s e63 AMG. Turns out both turbos have water lines that feed them off or the pump. These lines are Metsl rubber and hard plastic. They break when they get touched. My Mercedes friends tell me the factory way to replace these hoses is to remove the engine. There is 1” on both sides of motor for access s as nd the hoses have lots of bends and push in from the sides  had to make special tools for two bolts. Almost done but if this was a paying customer it would be a 25 hour job. Crazy

shot sime critters around the house sat morning. Weeding and planting tomato plants in the garden with the wife. Went on a dinner and movie night last night

going to church, working on a talk for church next week, having 8 or our 13 grand kids over for mothers and grandmothers day. Going hunting for Polly wogs and frogs

  6. Drove home ftom dunes, fixed a few things in Moho  I noticed broken, went to a cinco de mayo party a fellow duner put on. Probably 200 people. Lots of fun. Rebuilt and installed a Zexel lift pump in my excavator. For Sunday have church and have a few friends over for socializing  it’s been lightly drizzling all night.

I was waiting for some serious carnage when he backed all the way up to the motorhome and then pinned it.

Great trip for sure. The dunes were awesome, but a little hard to see. Definitely a great way to end the season. Sunday night it was just Robert and Silvia with me and my wife with no one around. So quiet.

@John@Outfront The wind blew really good and there was sand drifts all over the road. I came in at night with my motorhome and trailer. As I  came around a corner doing 30 there was a huge sand drift on the road. It was a butt puckering moment when I hit it. Also most of road runner is covered and I almost got stuck there. When you go out next weekend be careful on Gecko. Its pretty messed up.

will do  we are still planning on getting out there in 2 days!  thanks for the heads up

In Glamis since yesterday.  Finally some awesome sand.  Wild day yesterday.  Came across a dude walking the dunes.  He and a buddy lawn darted.  Hit up some neighbors to assist.

Big RV got stuck on pad 5.  Tried to help but in the end a town truck came. ***he's still stuck

About to light up Blackstone for breakfast

  9. Wed,  with permission I drove my tractor through a persons property to get my tractor to a land locked parcel and rented it to a neighbor. Once neighbor was finished I had to drive my tractor back across first neighbors 5 acre dirt lot with a home on it. The pad is mostly level but had a little erosion going on so i decided to be nice a take a few passes on their dirt. There was one little section that had a slight hill of dirt. 6” high by 8 feet across. I thought a would just level that out

well I tore off the top and 12” of the septic tank riser. 40 year old lady came out freaking out. What is that?  I told her that’s were her poop goes. She goes back in the house and I see her taking video of me. I’m like this is not good. No good deed goes unpunished. The guy who rented the tractor bought a new piece and so today (Saturday) I went up and fixed it

a crappy way to start my weekend. I have better things to do later today

  11. First did a 250 mile ride with the wife on my 1290 SAS from anahiem to crest line, arrow head, green valley snd big bear. Points of interest was the first McDonald’s restaurant in San Bernardino  eagles nest in big bear , lunch. 10 bikes, 13 people. Then we went to palm desert. Near Anza and Palm Springs to the “living desert zoo and garden” it’s a zoo and a light display. The light part starts at 6:30 pm to 10 pm. Great family destination. It was a 19 hour long day!
