  1. Theres a tool shop up in the high dez that sprouted up last year. Packed with Milwaukee. I wasnt sure if theyre brand new or unopened returns they buy in bulk. Or fakes. They must have had 200 units of just Milwaukee. Lots of husky stuff too. Is why i think they buy pallets of returns somehow.

Elite Tools and More. Main St

Doesnt look like they have a website.

  2. Home depot has some amazing Xmas sales last year. Makes it easy if you already have been following prices and can spot an awesome deal instantly. I scored a bunch of m12 Fuel stuff last year. Wasnt the specialized tool though. THats probably harder to find on sale.

If you find coupons please share.

  3. Could be a good thing. Ive heard wash 6 is insanely loud for years. Be nice if that remained and you could then avoid it. Think i saw somewhere that wash road was groomed downed to the 20s? If that is true then the wash 6 experience will likely spread south as time goes on. It might even leap frog a big distance is the scary part.

  4. Do you have the bike saved on rocky mountain? You can click "show all parts" and find good stuff quickly.

See if someone makes aftermarket axle dust covers and collar set for cheap. Or buy 2 OEM dust covers. This part wears quickly. Dont want to allow dust into your brand new wheel bearings. (unless the wheel comes with it of course)

  5. Where are you buying from?

Yes 100% need to run a rim lock. Shopping list would be:

    1. rim lock

    2. tube

    3. rim strip

    4. rubber valve stem sealer (optional)

    5. real axle dust cover and collars (optional, saves the hassle of cleaning parts when you swap tires)

This might lead to rockymountain wheel accessories. The Tusk brand is decent i buy lots of their parts over motion pro. https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/tires-and-wheels/tire-wheel-accessories

  6. Got a flat tire right outside glamis on the 78. Wasnt much of a shoulder. Rushing I grabbed a 12 point socket. It ended up making the sleeve on the lug nut slip. Even back at camp using a 6 point socket and battery powered impact the outer sleeve was spinning. Had lots of guys perplexed. We couldnt believe the 6 point socket was slipping. Didnt seem possible. At first i called out AAA. He couldnt get the nut off either. Crazy right?

Ended up cutting the cover to access the axle spindle nut and pulled the entire assembly off. Plan was to drill out the backside of the stud. I went through every metal drill bit i had. In the end.....we used the impact gun for the 20th time and it backed off the nut.

I should get some pics. My phone camera is blurry let me borrow a phone. The sleeve is still on the lug nut. Its not all that deformed. Hard to believe it rotated and stripped so many times. Probably 100 revolutions.

  7. We hit hotels a lot. Not fancy ones either. Its like you said....try not to think about it. I get grossed out easy too. Wear flip flops the entire time my feet never touch the floor. Even in the shower. Need to start bringing my own towel. Hold it up to the light is like wtf are people doing to cause a stain? Hopefully its food. We get takeout and eat on the bed with a towel under it. I had to pay 100 bucks once because of a red stain. It was some type of food i forget.

  8. Where you guys watching? Saw on FB that roczen won. Its practically cheating as a ringer. All the other racers were bummed when roczen announced he was racing it. Its like there goes 1st place money. They must have been extra bummed when Tomac showed up to race 1. THat means 1st and 2nd place money is likely gone.

My Dr says I have to get it done every 6 months because of the Meds I have to take but Honestly I been blowing it off because of personal things I am going thru i just didnt care.

Turn that sadness into motivation. Start doing pushups next time youre feeling down.  Its a big world out there. Youre a nice handsome guy and would get along with anyone.

Here is a fact-ish. Name one thing better than new p*$$y? For real....can anyone name something better?

In a way you are primed and ready for extreme happiness. The best it can get. Meeting someone new and feeling that spark.

You are high.  Go back to bed.

Those are good. The horrible remake from 1998 makes fun of lighting the cig and tossing the lighter out the window.

Need to understand being disappointed in a movie is because i wanted to like it more. Especially in the music department.

I got to think people with the VHS or DVD or now streaming will skip Aretha singing. I would skip all the singing now that ive seen it once.

I told Laurie its like a bad song from a band you love. I will always listen to the entire song at least one time. After that its skip city.

  11. Original Blues Brothers was a disappointment. Its a 1980s movie viewed from a 2022 perspective.

Did i like it? Yes. The ridiculous explosions were funny. I could see it getting funnier.

    Mostly didnt like the music.

The remake Blues Brothers was pretty bad. I felt embarrassed for them.

Now if you were 10 years old and saw the Blues Brothers when it first came out it would be percieved differently.

  12. Electric....hmm.  I could see some awesome benefits. Does it have a built in thermostat? The propane blackstone can get super mega hot if you walk away for 10 mins and dont have much food on it to absorb the incoming heat.

Negative to eclectic is lack of instant BTUs. Is it a 1500w element?

Ive been eyeing induction cookers for the trailer while camping. Use solar power during the day. Electric blackstone would be similar.

  13. Also i would avoid these accessories. The spatula will bend where it meets the handle. Bottle opener is nice though.

This scraper is a disappointment. Its literally convex. The edges hit the surface. I took a sledgehammer to it. Hit it hard in the center to try and make it flat. Helped a bit. But still. For their "signature series" its a look into the quality of Blackstone. I was all excited to buy them. Get it home and couldnt believe how they both failed in 2 different ways. The scraper doesnt even scrape evenly!! The spatula will bend with medium pressure.

  14. Might be worth waiting for black friday deals.

Check walmart online too for deals and mistakes. They had a 22" model on sale for $99 a couple years ago.

If i was in the market again i would start watching youtube videos. You can pick up a lot of good info just watching them use the griddle. Doesnt have to be a review or comparison. Can also pick up random cooking tips. Lot of these guys who make omelets will fold it over and pull it off still wet. To me it looks gross. But they say it continues to cook. Im not really a big fan of omelets its just an example of a cooking tip i picked up watching griddle cooks on youtube. The guy Brian who cooks at glamis a lot posted a video once of him making an omelet. Sure enough he flipped it over wet, pulled it off and onto a paper plate. I think he worked in a restaurant for years and must be a breakfast pro on the griddle.

Im a lefty. I dont think i personally would enjoy the drip tray being on the left side. My blackstone has a tiny drip tray hole in the back. Could be a tad bit bigger. I use wet blue shop towels to clean the steaming hot griddle. You sorta have to poke it a few times to exit the drip hole. If it was just 1/4" taller it would help. Some of the dirty water kind of gets pushed off the towel and you poke it through the hole.

Biggest negative to the 22" Blackstone:

    1. No wind blocks. (as mentioned above)

    2. Rear trip tray is a bit small.

    3. Side shelf could have been built stronger.

    4. Perfect size for me cooking for 1-3 people. Like you mentioned a larger size would be better for your family.

22" blackstone.....used to be $99 at walmart....i think its discontinued and the price is way off

Once you buy one, make a new post about seasoning. I have some ideas and techniques. You pretty much use a propane or butane torch to help heat the corners and sides during seasoning. It would take a long time for the far edges and sides to reach 500F. The center only takes a couple minutes to reach 500F.

The infrared will allow your camera to see motion in very low light.  It will not make a scorpion glow like UV.

I hear ya. Both will glow since the OP was asking the difference. Even though youre right the correct answer is UV.

UV glows to the naked human eye.

Infrared glows to the camera lens.

  16. I think both will make a scorpion glow but you definitely want a UV light like posted above. I have one similar it was around 15 bucks. If i was able to test it first, i would have spent a little bit more for a brighter one.

Infrared would also work but not with the human eye like the UV flashlight does. A lot of the security cameras use infrared as a form of cheap night vision.

Ive got a camera under my trailer to spot for mice activity. This is what a tiny spider looks like using the infrared mode on the camera. In person you dont see any of that glow.

  17. I measured a 19" Dunatik 8 paddle and its around 3.9 inches from the rim to the top of the paddle. You could measure the KX with the dirt tire on it now to get a rough idea if a 4" tall tire would clear the mudflap and linkage. If the bike has an 18" rim then that paddle will be even taller.

Generally speaking you can look down at the rear axle holders. They have little alignment knotches. If the chain has stretched and the axle is more towards the end of its adjustment the paddle should clear.

  18. Lighter the better. If its a 19" rim the Sedona Dunatik 8 paddle is great. If an 18" rim i think they only make that model in 10 paddle.

Make sure the rider checks for loose wheel spokes and run tire pressure down around 6psi front and 8 rear. Get the little rubber seals that go around the valve stem of the tube. At that low pressure the tire and tube flex and sand creeps around the valve stem and gets inside the wheel. With time it wears down the tube. If you are swapping out a knobbie its not as critical as you will clean the wheel and tube when you disassemble after glamis. If you have a dedicated sand paddle wheel you want to seal out the sand best as possible to last all season. A brand new rim strip is nice too. The tube can get pinched by the spoke nuts if the rim strip or tape has worn through. Seems to happen quicker in glamis with the low tire pressure and more movement of the tube. I prefer thin tubes for glamis. Lighter the better as mentioned. Im on a 2 stroke though so i dont have the torque of the 2018 450f. Think im actually running a natural rubber tube that is multi thickness. Its thick in some spots and thinner in others to save weight. Got it from rocky mountain. I believe it was the natural rubber that deals better with flexing.

Avoid the tire with the center strips. Its a molded skat trak. I ran that for years its super heavy. I keep it for a backup. Welcome to even borrow it if you want. Its been put on and off a rim dozens of times so the bead is already chunked up. You cant really hurt it anymore than i did. Problem with buying a brand new paddle is realizing it hits the rear linkage. Will rip chunks off your new paddle. Thats another thing is make sure to have a used chain that is already stretched out. Depending on the bike sometimes a newer chain is too tight and the paddle will rub on either the mud flap and/or the rear linkage.
