thanks guys for the reply and keep them coming, any body got any info on that area?city living or more of a rural area? crime bad around there?hes bringing out a 20' enclosed trailer with a newer kx450f dirt bike and a  honda 110 pit bike, his tool box, and power tools, jacks and so on.base has a place he can park it so thay told her but thay have not seen it yet.we are prepping the trailer after work this week. went and got him good locks for the doors, toung, and thinking about locking the wheels also.people she has met told her its a ok area near the base housing.any good spots close for riding?keep the info coming please my wife is a little freaked out on all this.this is our first kid to leave so to be honest im a little sad as well but hes young so do it now and find your self its big step for a 20 year old to move alone from nj to California.he has a pretty clean 2002 crew cab f-250 lariat with a 7.3 diesel lifted 6'' on 35'' tires with a flatbed I told him get some kind of lock for it as well as I hear and read them trucks are stolen out there.

I have been in Fallbrook almost 15 years now, great little town.  Its definitely not city living but it is not as small as it used to be.

If they can store his trailer no base do that, it will be safe.

Crime is not to bad, typical BS, just need to lock your stuff up and be smarter than the criminals.  I haven't had any issues.

I have an 7.3 SD and have never had any issues with people breaking in or theft.

I cant help with work but there is a tone of construction right now and a shortage of good help.  But with that said if the base can help with a job I would try that out.

They will be 15 minuets to the beach, 1 hour to the mountains/ snow, 2 hours to ocotillo wells ( endless Dirt bike riding ) and 3.5 hrs to Glamis.  Tell him to look into out of state registration for the dirt bikes, they are pretty strict on need it.

Meh, it wasn't a disaster.  I like Hoovie, but the range estimator has no clue how to calculate range when you've never even towed with it.  It shouldn't be surprising that your range towing went down by half compared to the last charge just driving around.  Are there YouTube videos of guys staring at the "miles to empty" estimate on their gas/diesel trucks and complaining that it went down by half after they hooked up a trailer?  Does anyone fill up their tank, see 600 miles to empty, then hook up a trailer and expect the number to remain?

Yup you tube guy was kind of a dumb ass.

  4. Thanks guys for the input, the older I get the harder it is to work through the heat.  The garage is already drywalled and insulated, only thing that is not is the Garage door, but that's not to bad to do ( once the AC is blowing ) HAHA

They HIT two kids and KILLED them.. .ON stoddard wells road....NOT open Desert... On the road.... IDGAF if the kids cut him off or whatever... HE was the Adult... with the Bigger vehicle....HE didn't stop, The kids are DEAD.  I don't  think it makes a difference if you are at fault or not if you are involved in a collision and hit/run.

Just my two cents... sticking up for people that KILLED two little kids and ran like a Bitch is just complete bullshit.

I've had/have a couple 03 z400s. And there have been a few others  in camp over the years. Great machines.  Far better than the 400ex or Raptor 350 in my opinion.

Not 100% positive of the year they switched  but i believe I'd  be looking at 06 or 07 to newer  for the better shocks.

I think it was in 05, reservoir shocks and stroger frame.  I bought an 05 for my wife a couple years ago just to be able to cruse around with the kids but now my oldest daughter has clamed it, so I need another. HAHA

Just trying to get a jump on the season but damn prices are outrageous, I paid $2800 for my wife's 05 pre covid and that was a little high then. I have seen prices for trashed bikes in the $4K.
