  1. i started again on the carnivore diet (meat only). i tried it back when covid was just starting and stopped due to panic buying of food when Crap shutdown. i had some good succes then with it.

i started back on this deal july 18th. i have dropped 20lbs as of yesterday so far. my main goal is weight loss. ive carried an extra 80-100lbs for far too long. the carbs and sugar i was eating was the main contributor, along with lack of exercise and just any physical activity. the higher my weight the less i did physically as i tired quickly, and simple tasks were now difficult to accomplish. mental sharpness was affected as well. always felt like i was in a haze. my bloodpressure was in hypertentions stage 1.

like i said, as of yesterday im down 20lbs from july 18th, and my blood pressure has also dropped 18 numbers. i am now just a few numbers above top end of normal range. my mental state is also much cleaner, im more focused and can think clearer than before, and my ambition has returned to a degree as im now getting more done and working on my projects more and more. my energy levels have also started to increase. i no longer get tired from doing simple everyday Crap.

i do intend on seeing a dr in the next couple months to have blood work and physical done to see where im at. i havent had it done in years as my prior health insurance was crap. now this isnt a diet i just jumped on since its kinda the new fad, i have read alot about it and made what i feel is an educated decision to try it. there are drawbacks for sure as with any "diet" as compared to the normal American way of eating (everything, fastfood, high carbs etc). right now id kill a baby for a sals pizza from rancho cucamonga or a petrillis pizza from upland. the addiction to carbs and certain foods is mind blowing once you eliminate them. i didnt have these kinds of withdrawals when i quit drinking.

for years most dr.s haven't studied or done research on nutritional health, they just prescribe pills for whatever issue you have going on, when it could just be the food your eating creating those issues. after all, advising their paitents to eat healthy in certain ways doesn't make the money like pharmaceuticals does. the ideal diet is an ever changing ideal.. tied into your activity levels as well. you gotta find what is ideal for you and you only.

my long terms goal is to get under 200lbs. and keep it there and become more physically active.  once i get there and depending on what my blood works shows ill make adjustments as needed, but for now its a meat only deal as my body transitions from a sugar/carb source of energy to a fat based source.

  2. the only reason i went to glamis last season was to see some people that i care about when they are out there. i have lots of plans with my car and will be starting back on that project in the next couple months. it MIGHT be ready for the 2022 season, but materials and parts shortages may effect that goal. sold my toyhauler as well and never going back to a toyhauler. im not above "tenting" it, but i am working on some other ideas for a much simpler, stress free way of camping and possibly taking my junk to the dunes.

for now i enjoy doing whatever the Eff i want, whenever i want.

Awesome.  the Narrows is supposed to be in the "Strenuous" category & the emerald pools in the Moderate".  what is deceiving is the amount of time they are saying it should take for these hikes compared to the distances (seems like 2x longer than the distance indicates).  but if they are super challenging, then I could see it.  what was your opinion??

the narrows is a general term. the hike from the top down yes is strenuous and you need permits. the one that any shmoe can do when they get off the bus is from the riverwalk up. also if my 260lb fat ass at the time could do it, i would say it wasnt moderate or strenuous

  4. only time i was there it was for only 2 days,  i did weeping rock, The Narrows via Riverside Walk went as far the first fork then turned back, did all three emerald pools. theres others i want to do when i visit again and am in better shape to hike the more strenuous trails.

  5. chick driving, was going around 90-100mph and blew a corner. she had just committed a hit and run. she walked out of the hospital same day with just minor injuries.

  6. a basic kidney shaped pool with no spa is approx 65-70k here in havasu now. pre covid it was closer to 40k. with spa a couple water features your at 100k today. pools here are taking apporx 10 months to complete due to labor and materials issues.

  7. stopped listening/watching when he jumped to spotify, cause spotify sucks.i prefer to watch some podcast since i feel im getting more out of the podcast being able to see their body language and it feels more personal. i also tend to focus more on the conversion vs just listening where my focus is easily distracted by squirrels.

yea get invloved, write your elected officals

the path the epa is walking down will essentially kill motorsports industry. its only a mtter of time before offroad vehicles and boats are targeted if they havent been already.

  9. i am on/in somwheres around 320 groups or pages, many of which i have set to where i dont see the posts in my feed. for me i use them all as a source for information, meaning i search for what im looking for. rarely do i post asking questions about this or that, or do i comment on topics/posts unless im that bored. i have also set it to where i dont see most of the politcal Crap freinds post.

there is one thing about social media i enjoy, it has opened my eyes to things and places other than glamis related stuff. as my interests have changed in the last year and half i adjust my media accordingly.
